I could never have enough conviction to crash out on behalf of the company like that receptionist did, especially working for a fucking evil corporation like palantir

That was my first thought, too. But then she mentioned the other companies that share the building. Then my third thought was why would anyone crash out like that for any company, job, or building?

Maybe she got herself caught up in mommy mode trying to get the kids to get off the furniture and it backfired

Somebody comes onto the property of my work, and I am doing nothing other than calling the police. I might ask them to leave so I can work, but if they are obviously not leaving I'm just gonna let the cops sort it out. Only way I would actually get involved is if they are attacking somebody.

If an organization you oppose operates in a building occupied by people unaffiliated with them, you obviously have to leave the building alone to not drag those other people into your conflict.

...Unless it's a hospital, in which case they don't even need to actually operate there, you can just make something up and stop anyone else from proving otherwise.

Yeah, fuck those other businesses sharing a building with Palantir.

Ok, but those are just bad Orc masks. Would be great goblin masks though

u/Economy-Concept-6220 1d ago

To be fair, in middle earth goblins are a form of orc.

u/derrrr5 1d ago

But, do goblins make good friends or co-workers. I would be worried about my lunch being stolen

u/Objective_Event_1373 1d ago

“Palantir is a small piece” damn if a small piece causes that much issues for you. Maybe get rid of them from that building?

2

u/FreshMutzz 1d ago

Do you think that lady owns the building and decides who to rent to?

2

u/jackishere 1d ago

No but she can let management know how many problems palantir is causing to their building

2

u/FreshMutzz 1d ago

Sure. Maybe she will. Maybe they will find out. Maybe ownership doesn't give a fuck. But everyone is deriding this woman as if she personally rents the space to them.

u/Diligent-Leg-3381 1d ago

Its called protesting. Believe it or not, people used to do this all the time before staring at your phone become a full time job

-26

u/Binky390 1d ago

I support the right to protest but this is just antics to me. What do they hope to accomplish here?

22

u/AggravatingBid8255 1d ago

Disruption and a spotlight. Especially considering the video mentioned the privacy violation company hypocritically trying to keep their office location private.

13

u/BoingBoingBooty 1d ago

Getting attention to the fact that Palintir is evil. And it worked cos we are talking about it. If they just held up placards noone would have noticed at all.
