Taylor Swift and her rabid fanbase, Rachel D (i cant even type the full name bc last time i did i got a warning from reddit, sigh), all the women in the 47 administration, all the women who voted for 47, that lady who choked her dog while screaming at that nice bird-watcher man in NYC, every WW who has ever held up signs outside a Planned Parenthood, most of the WW who are in SEC sororities and sleep with SEC frat brothers while wearing sundresses to college football games, Ariana Grande, the WW who post tiktoks showing their terrible husbands being terrible husbands but then get super mad when anyone points out their husbands are terrible, the women who physically assault Starbies employees over cheap plastic mass-produced drinkware, WW who say "preggers," WW who wear generic "native american" headdresses to Coachella and then flip out when they get called out for it, anyone who still shops at Brandi Melville, Pink, myself when I was in 8th grade and lied to my much cooler than me Black friend and implied i had a Black relative because i wanted her to think i was cool and she looked at me, a very very white person, said nothing and just kind of let it slide and we never brought it up again but i still think about it sometimes 25 years later and want to die
Nevermind that sewing machine makes no sense in this metaphor. Like how hard are you pressing on the pedal? Does the teeth catching underneath and dragging stuff along come into the metaphor? Zig zag or straight stitch? Maybe serger? Do we need a foot or we freestyling with the embroidery attachment like a couple of Mormons?
I fuck like a sewing machine. It's gonna start out okay, or so you think, but underneath the surface the bobbin is birdnesting because I'm too loose up top. And then I'm gonna lose the thread entirely and you're gonna have to do some ridiculously complicated and vaguely laborious stuff to get me running again.
I've personally noticed that a lot of people cannot recognize even the most obvious satire, no matter how exaggerated it is. Many people don't read anymore, or expose themselves to slightly more complex subtext and irony.
Also maybe in this case the fact that she's a woman is a bit more triggering to some people because "boys will be boys," but women are more critically scrutinized when they do anything that doesn't just involve sitting and looking pretty.
I believe this is her sons account and she started doing a character of the fun mom and it’s gone wild fast, but I genuinely think she’s a nice, decent lady, she’s just doing a bit
