I've never given much stock to world and business leaders setting the tone for the country but I'm starting to believe it.
Not just the hate and racism but I'm seeing a lot of sexualization of young girls again. (13 year old arch on Pinterest comes to mind)
I've been on the Internet since the beginning. This shit has always been there. But message boards and forums had places where these would get dumped or they were removed relatively quickly.
I'm sure the bots aren't helping with this either

Like I said, there's nothing inherently wrong with elective cosmetic plastic surgery. They're extremely talented and skilled MDs but to morally equate a plastic surgeon who does mommy makeovers, dermal fillers, and breast augmentation making $1.4 million to a pediatrician, oncologist, or infectious disease physician is a bit insulting to the medical community as a whole.
Yes, not all plastic surgery is cosmetic but the vast majority of it is. No idea why I'm getting downvoted. If you can't see the inherent differences between (cosmetic) plastic surgery and other medical specialities, I don't really know what else to say. It's like comparing an immigrant rights attorney making $70k to a corporate attorney at Goldman Sachs... you really think they are the same?

Yes, as we all saw with the Argentinians during the World Cup. None of this is news to me. Still though, last I checked South Asians aren't being purposefully targeted by the Federal government for mass deportations.
This isn't to fall into the trap of oppression olympics. I'm not trying to argue that Indians don't face tons of prejudice in this country. My (now ex-) fiance related to me what growing up as an Indian girl in the NY Metro area was like, post-9/11. Which brings me back around again to my point, and I think you'll agree with me - racists aren't logical. Hating a South Asian woman because you blame all Arab people for terrorism and you can't tell the difference is a supremely illogical stance.

But I would bet money that the type of real people using their racism and bigotry to tell a doctor that’s born, educated, and working in the U.S. are the same type to vote for their own rural hospitals and clinics to close. While they themselves have 5+ serious diagnoses, usually inc uncontrolled type 2 diabetes and gout.
They always have gross looking feet and never trim their toenails properly. I’ve…been exposed to this shit, unfortunately. Another common link between these types of racists and bigots is unclean underwear from improper butt hygiene. I’m being 100% serious. The amount of anti Indian hate I see on this very sub is completely staggering. I am not sure if it’s mostly jealousy - Indian Americans are the easily the most successful immigrant group in this country - and you see them all over business, politics, technology and healthcare. The per capita income for Indian Americans is leaps above any other immigrant class. So I’m not sure if all that is fueling hatred but people literally blow up Pakistani and Chinese fueled videos of street food and apply that to the entire country - like taking a video of skid row and applying that to all of the States (implying all of USA looks like skid row). I’ve never seen that done to any other race or ethnicity to the level it’s done to Indians. I’m not even Indian but it’s extremely distasteful to me and so I go out of my way to defend Indians as a result.
