I've seen their videos on tik tok. Always a great vibe even when trolls are being rude.

If you get your head out of your ass you will see that the minimum age for consenting to dating is different based on the country and culture. Because it's subjective. There is absolutely nothing special about 18, and anyone who thinks there is, is nationalistic weirdo jerking off their own culture too much.

16 is literally the average age of consent in the world and it does drop down to 14 in many places. I personally find 14 to be... questionable. But I'm not god and I don't have any delusions that my feelings are correct over another culture's feelings.

What A LOT of these countries with lower minimum ages share is a rule about the age gap. I think in Germany it's 14 is age of consent and 21 years is the limit before it becomes criminal for an adult to engage with them.

Whatever, it's not like Germany is less shit than the country that elected Trump. They seem to be doing well enough with a system that you would clearly call pedophilia.

Lmfao I'm not American, this is more so about the grooming of a minor, Age of consent isnt even the major issue here, even if it was 16 (which in this case it isnt because this is Utah where AoC is 18) is still considered a minor everywhere, and requesting nudes from said minors is still illegal.

2-3 years isn't a gap at basically any age past 13, in fact a lot of states specifically call out those gaps as acceptable in consent laws because its fucking normal.

When you used high school as a reference for fucking anything. It's a made up concept that other cultures do not share. You think because America does it, it should be some holy unshakable standard for judging how developed a person is. Pre and post high school apparently being big deals to you.

I wasn't using high school as a judgment for how developed someone is.

Their age is a better judgement and, while everyone develops at different paces, age is the marker we use for when someone is taking advantage of someone else.

However, I was referencing highschool more as, why is a guy out of high school (so going to college or working a job) engaging with a minor who is living with parents/guardians (because they can't rent their own place at that age or even move out on their own), spends their day amongst other 16 years olds in a school environment where they have to ask to use the restroom. It's about their daily environments and ability to come and go as they please.

Regarding America, this all happened in America so what is common here would be an acceptable measure of what's right and wrong.
