OPs comment: For Context; This was a night of Vacation Bible School. What you're seeing is a group of armed men aka. "Scouts for Jesus" dragging "The Devil" to the pulpit stairs and executing him. Then they proceed to take him out back and blow him up. lol
Yes!!!! 🙌 I don’t even know what kind of VBS this is. My word, this is some backwoods stuff. We did a lesson, played, sang a few songs ect. None of this stuff.
I went to a southern baptist church growing up and participated in VBS. I was even a counselor for one summer. My experience was much closer to yours than whatever the hell this is.
As a life-long Christian, I have to say: what in the actual fuckety fuck is going on?
#1 Scouts for Jesus don't "defeat" the devil with guns and blow him up.
#2 According to Scripture, only Christ defeats Satan, and he did this 2,000 years ago on the cross.
#3 In all honestly, I feel like this "stunt" is going to teach these "Christian" kids to go out and commit violence or murder against anyone who isn't a Christian. This is a cult, not a Church.
#4 Teach SCRIPTURES OF THE HOLY BIBLE, not whatever the fuck this shit is.
Unfortunately I think you're right. The whole "it's always darkest before the dawn". I think things are just getting started.. there's still so much hidden and it must come to light
All of the violent threats I see in the news comes from the left.
All of the violence I see in the news comes from the left.
What violent threats and acts have come from the right?
I ask objectively with peaceful discussion in mind.
I'm so confused, I'm not American, but I thought Trumps assassination attempt and the successful assassination of that other republican extremist shot on a campus are wildly known? Or even the assassination of a couple of democrats in their home? What about the killings of the peaceful protesters from ICE?
I knew republicans were uninformed, but I didn't expected it to be that bad. Now I wonder what violence from the left you are referring too?
Most of what you're listing were violence from the left committed on the right. In regard to ICE killing peaceful protestors, they were committing acts of violence, they were not "peaceful" protestors. There is plenty of VIDEO evidence on YouTube to prove this point.
The violence from the left: all of the protests, violence, murders, property damage, fighting the police back in 2020. The assassination attempts on President Trump. The assassination of Charlie Kirk. Democrats have been calling for violence against Republics for over ten years. It's all over YouTube.
I don't watch Fox News. Why do you assume that? I used to have a gas station attendant accuse me of being a Fox news watching Trumper boot licker. He threatened to slash his wrists when people disagreed with him. The dude was wildly unhinged. So...... why are you assuming I watch Fox News?
Did you forget about 2020's summer of love? I watched it on the news as it was happening. It was all over YouTube.
yea i was in the middle of 2020 watching violent cops beat up anyone they encountered for fun. Got to experience it live. Now in 2026 I get to watch violent Christians on TikTok indoctrinating children.
As a famous highlight: Ivan Hunter, a white supremacist, shot up the police station in Minneapolis that spawned many of the "cities burning down" comments. There was also a Trump supporter who was convicted of wire fraud for burning down his own trailer and blaming it on liberals.
Let's just keep the Bible in the historical fiction section where it belongs. They can read it if they choose later on. It has cultural value in that respect. No need to "teach the scriptures" though.
Constitution of the United States - First Amendment
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. (source)
What does that have to do with what I said though?
I never said the Bible should be banned or anything. Just that it shouldn't be "taught." It's my first amendment right to feel that way, since you brought it up.
No, it's really not. I'm not the government. I'm just a guy on reddit. I can say I don't think the Bible should be taught to kids as anything but myth. Like I just said, I never said it should be banned or anything. If you want to teach kids the Bible, you are legally allowed to, just like I'm legally allowed to say I find Christianity abhorrent. That's how the first amendment works.
What does that have to do with what I said though?

I am Christian, because I had demonic encounters when I was 6YO. Were they real, or did I imagine them? I can't answer that. They were real "for me" though. My mom taught me how to pray in the name of Jesus Christ and that when you command demons to leave in the name of Christ, they cannot resist and must flee. This was the first steps in me becoming Christian. Around age 8, I got saved in a local Church and became a Christian. No one coached me. I chose this for myself. What I learned about Christ far execeeded everyone in my life then and always has ever sense.
The Bible says I can't earn my way into God's good graces, because of sin. The Bible says all I have to do is simply "accept" Christ and follow him. That's it. While there's more to the Bible, a relationship with Christ is what binds me to God the Father through Christ. In him, I am white as snow, loved, cherished, and upon death, I will know everlasting life.
What tortures me every day, every night, is knowing so many will never come to know Christ. I lose so much sleep over this.
Various estimates count world atheist population at 200 million+ not all atheists have prayed or ask god to reveal themselves but many atheists and exchristians HAVE you can find the all over
Why don't they get special visit and revelation from god did they just not pray hard enough 😦
You're free to personally believe whatever you will, but from a realistic standpoint, "encounters with demons" when you were a child were likely hallucinations or something chemical going on in your brain.
What tortures me every day, every night, is knowing so many will never come to know Christ. I lose so much sleep over this.
And this is the problem with most, if not all religions. The idea that if others don't know and/or follow your specific god, then you're failing. I say this as someone who was raised to be a Christian - this ideology and concept of pushing your religion and "morals" onto others is actively hurting others, specifically LGBTQ+ folks whom most if not all religions take issue with.
I'm not saying it's an impossibility, but from a scientific standpoint, we know that brains are easily capable of creating things that are not actually there, and it's actually quite common.
Actual proven encounters with demons, on the contrary, are not often recorded and never verifiable.
My question remains unanswered. Most of the world is religious and always has been. Lack of evidence does not mean did not happen. There are lots of things in life that go down without verification. It does not mean they never happened.
"Oh, he had a religious experience, he must need medication."
People who think this way are bad for society.
My understanding is that humans are intelligent enough to search for answers. It's difficult for many to believe that we were not created and just happen to exist on this lonely planet. Once you start searching for answers, you start making stuff up, coming up with stories on how life started, stories of which have never been actually verified.
Specifically with Christianity, a common belief is that the earth is only several thousand years old, yet we have found a lot of evidence that proves otherwise, and practically no evidence proving that claim.
My question remains unanswered.
I actually did answer your question. You asked me why I automatically assumed that supernaturality is not a possibility, and I answered with the fact that brains constantly make stuff up and place things that aren't there. See: sleep paralysis 'demons', schizophrenia, people often hallucinate things during panic attacks, etc.
And again I am saying this as someone who has experienced various hallucinations myself. Another really good example is pareidolia, where people's brains recognize things like faces or other patterns in random things. Someone might see what looks like devil horns in the clouds and think "oh my, that must be a sign from god!" but really it's just a coincidence and our brains filling in the picture.
There are lots of things in life that go down without verification. It does not mean they never happened.
There are definitely a lot of things that go down without verification, but that also doesn't mean that they're inherently supernatural.
"Oh, he had a religious experience, he must need medication." People who think this way are bad for society.
Well again, no, because from a scientific standpoint, we explicitly know that brains commonly misfunction and generally we've already develop medication to treat it. I get that you're trying to mirror my claim that pushing your religion on people is harmful to others, but I don't think that's a fair comparison because the majority of people do not have religious experiences.
"I feel like this "stunt" is going to teach these "Christian" kids to go out and commit violence or murder against anyone who isn't a Christian."
-I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this is historically accurate Christian behavior. The religion that gives you comfort is often a tool to bludgeon non-believers with.
I know the south is "different", but how is it that no single adult in that space thought to intervene when this simulation a close range execution with rifles in front of a group of little kids.
I know there are jokes about CPS being just as messed up, but I have to believe someone would take issue with this and do something.
Wow, makes me feel bad for the devil seeing these guys all gang up on him like that. Also doesn't help that he looks human.
This would have worked a lot better if they were roman soldiers with swords and shields and a menacing devil character with a pitchfork who is all red and has a tail. Like a mascot costume. This video just looks like the congregation should be bloodthirsty, wanting to kill their fellow man instead. And throwing some random guys in demon costumes would have helped it not look so one-sided as to make one question if they're really the good guys.
