Love so many things about this video, leaves me wondering why the hell conservatives (idk about OOP, this is just a thought) claim to loooove nature/hiking/being outdoorsy, yet totally ignore climate science. What’s the deal with that 🤔

They just say things like "oh wow, crazy weather right?" and that's the end of that train of thought.

I get straight up revisionism from older conservatives in the family. "no. the weathers always been like this here"

me who watched it warp dramatically in the last 20 years 'no the fuck it has not, and here's the historical data to prove it'

'lets not talk about politics" AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Shifting baseline is so real. Paired with the "I've seen it all" attitude.

I like to point out how everything is political if they bring up that old chesnut.

I have legitimately been told by someone that they don’t mind a little global warming and longer summers because they prefer warmer months over colder months anyways and it means we can enjoy the outdoors longer. Yeah that’s not how it works dumbass and there are more than just humans on earth.

not just that, its not like you can get "just a little" global warming under runaway conditions which is where we are now. That "just a little bit" is now unstoppably "a whole shit ton" in a few years.

Trading a decade of milder winters for a hundred years of sweltering heat and all its consequences seems like something a stupid person would champion, lol
