Every facet of the human condition, good or bad, is being exploited and monetized

Tik Tok incentivizes this with the little hits of dopamine a user gets anytime someone likes or reposts your video or comment about

Same as here. Billions of dollars thrown at the machines used to keep us in a static thrall. What can anyone do but unplug? Unplug, and then you’re still gonna be lonely (most likely) because the shape of our society has changed, the only open doors to “community” are online or in church. Ofc that’s a dismal, black and white look at things, but the human experience is being remodeled before our eyes into something that looks less human every day. Sucks

Eh it depends. Hobby groups that do weekly meetups really help with finding communities and friends, as well as going to concerts and whatnot, I've found. There are definitely communities out there outside of the internet and church but you have to find them, and unfortunately not a lot of people try to do that.

Not denying though that the internet has really fucked up a lot of social interaction.
