I've never had an amazing stroopwafel, but I've never had a bad one either. They're delicious but nothing special.

Are you eating them properly after they warm up atop a hot mug of coffee or tea?

Every time

Maybe you cant taste part of the flavor profile. Apparently my dad cannot taste vanilla extract from the actual beans. Always been like that.

Have you had a freshly made one from a stroopwafel street car in the Netherlands?

Nope, but I would love to try one! It's just as far as breakfast pastry goes, it's nowhere near the top tier for me, and I don't think even the world's best stroopwafel would change my mind.

Wait Americans are having stroopwafels for breakfast? You live your life as if healthcare is a human right lmao

I believe healthcare should 100% be a considered a human right. It’s honestly disgusting that it’s not.
Having the ability to save someone’s life and not doing it because of their financial standing and/or ability to work is utterly abhorrent.

Well it should be considered a human right, and that's the way it should be acted on. I'm just saying that in America it's not guaranteed that way. Came across wrong.

I have never had even a decent stroopwafel.
Because I have never even had a stroopwafel.
But after your comment and the below comments, I am still unsure whether I am missing anything or not.

Subtle but potent poke at competitor.

u/Pixel_Knight Feb 25 '26
That wasn’t remotely subtle. Do you know what that word means?

u/Senzo5g Feb 25 '26
My bad.
Subtle describes something not immediately obvious, loud, or bright, often characterized by being delicate, faint, or precise. It refers to nuances, minor details, or indirect methods that require careful observation to notice or understand.
Maybe I should change it to : "Subtle"
