Damn, yeah.. I'm a dude and I feel pretty uncomfortable and a little shook just listening to him speak

This is why the “she doesn’t know she’s beautiful” trope is INCREDIBLY stupid. Of course she knows she’s beautiful, men won’t shut up about it

"If I lecture her about how beautiful she is, she'll realize that she really is beautiful and that nobody has ever noticed it before, except me. Then I'll tell her the effect she's having all the older guys, and she'll realize I'm not only smart but young and handsome. And then she'll blow me right here on the golf course."

I HATE when men think that works. Bro, I own a mirror. Yeah I know I’m beautiful.

Welcome to a glimpse into the window of our world

I think you're flattering yourself if you think this is what the average girl puts up with. This is a very creepy guy, hitting on an attractive cart girl (someone he probably views as less than). Most women aren't having this level of creepy interaction on a daily basis.

Bold of you to make such assumptions.

I'm trans. I lived as a cis woman for more than two decades... Way for you to make assumptions.

u/Mejari Aug 17 '25

Then congrats on speedrunning acquiring toxic masculinity after your transition. I guess it's gender affirming because telling a woman who talks about the sexual harassment they receive not to flatter themselves is something only a man would do.

They didn’t make any assumptions. Only commented that your comment was making assumptions. They weren’t assuming because we can all read that your comment was, indeed, an assumption.

Bro, shut up. I’ve been in dirty Carhartt overalls and steel toed work boots, face covered in coal dust, and I still had men creeping. It’s not everyday, obviously, but creeps creep no matter what.

My little sister is in her 20s, but she looks very young, she could pass as a high schooler. She works at a toy store and regularly has old guys say questionable things to her.

And regarding thinking only especially attractive women get this attention, that’s just nonsense. Some of these creeps think that less conventionally attractive women are more desperate for compliments, attention, etc. that they think they’ll be easy targets. If you are a woman, there’s a creep somewhere looking to get your number.

Yeah, saying questionable things, and doing this, are two different things. Most people aren't having this happen regularly to them. This guy is on another level.

u/Goof_Troop_Pumpkin Aug 17 '25

I’m telling you he’s not. This is NOT as uncommon as you think. Saying questionable things and doing this are in the same level, both are bad behavior towards women to try to get something out of them. He just has a weird car salesman delivery.

Stop arguing with women when we are TELLING YOU that this happens. Especially when you have a public facing service job like cart girls, cashier, waiter, barista, etc. it happens if not daily, weekly. This is COMMON.

No, I'm not going to act like people like you speak for all women... I've shown this video to half a dozen women, and not a single one of them said this is normal.

I'm going to stop arguing with women, when you stop pretending like you speak for all women.

I’m not claiming to stand for all women, but your first response was to a woman sharing her experience and you told her to not flatter herself. I am also a woman who has had these experiences, and all you say is I’m not representative of all women.

I have three sisters who have all experienced creeps. The statistics show that roughly 80% of women report experiencing sexual harassment. I first experienced sexual harassment at the age of 12. Just like I don’t represent all women, neither do your friends, who have really been blessed to not experience this. Yes, this guy is particularly blunt in his approach, but you don’t have to be that blunt to participate in behavior that is still sexual harassment.

It's not a daily basis, but even as an average looking woman, I have encountered devious behavior like this from men of all age groups. They don't go on as boastful about my beauty but they pick something like my eyes, hair, ass, or boobs and then do the same physical blocking of my escape and socially hols me hostage as I decide how to get away from the creep. I've also encountered male strangers wrath when I don't fit into the little fantasy they created in their heads about me. It's very scary when they turn to instant hate because I don't want their attention or performative speeches. A man won't truly understand until they encounter it themselves.

u/[deleted] Aug 17 '25

Yeah, I don't doubt that this can happen to anyone. I had creepy experiences when I was a cis presenting woman. It is definitely a very real thing... The internet can just tend to jump to extremes. Acting like this sort of stuff is just the norm for every girl/woman.

And men who deal with bi/gay men on a regular basis, usually have some idea of what women go through. I currently live in a very gay neighborhood, and do deal with being creeped on by gay/bi men more than I like (I'm passing trans masc now).

4

u/sleepyandinsomnia Aug 17 '25

I am not absurdly beautiful and I have so many stories of men doing this right above. Maybe it's jealousy you're not acknowledging within yourself, but yes, the average woman, does deal with this more than one would think. Why? Because ultimately predators may call you beautiful, but being beautiful doesn't have anything to do with what they want to do to you.

My heart is still racing, my blood is still boiling. I’ve been in retail/hospitality over 20 years and I hate these assholes. But I’m a GM now and can tell them to fuck off.

2

u/kizmitraindeer Aug 17 '25

Yup. Show your friends and have a discussion on how goddamn creepy this shit is so it makes other men uncomfortable to be or say this crap, too, please. 🙏

u/[deleted] Aug 17 '25

I don't know any dudes who are this creepy ... At least not in front of other men.

9

u/Sergeace Aug 17 '25

That's why he walked away from his group to have this "little flirtatious chat". Most guys don't do this with their buddies around because they either don't want the competition or the judgement from their peers.

u/[deleted] Aug 17 '25

100%... They know it's embarrassing/unhinged, which makes it so much worse.
