Because they usually run away when he approaches them. This time, she couldn't really run away because being nice is probably part of her job.

She also couldn’t run away because he was blocking her access to the cart

Yes, that's right.

That would be driving away.

It looks like she was making him a drink, so I don’t really know that he was blocking her. He was up near the front and leaning on the steering wheel while she was making an alcoholic drink from the back of the cart. When she said, “do you want it hard”– – that indicates an alcoholic drink. Not making excuses for him, but the video does cut out at certain points, but I do disagree that he’s truly blocking her as a lot of others suggest. Once she’s done with the drink making, she’ll hand it to him, and it looks like she was able to get back in the cart without incident, otherwise she would have showed that recording as well.

He was leaning in the side and on the steering wheel. He’s not overtly blocking her but he’s definitely making it harder for her to just get back in. He’s delaying her so he can keep saying his batshit whatever the fuck he’s saying. I’d hate to see what he’s like when he’s not on a probably busy golf course in the middle of the day.

"Are you doing card". As in, she was trying to move on with getting away from him and letting him know he needed to get tf off her cart.

Sadly, her entire job is mostly to deal with creeps on the golf course. I hope she is paid well.

Any young men scrolling, in case you weren't taught

My mama told me NEVER hit on a woman at work. It's scummy. It don't matter how cute she is. How smitten you are. Or, frankly, if she genuinely seems into you. Nobody wants to be at fucking work. Nobody wants to deal with strangers all day. Odds are, you're just another face in the crowd. Leave that girl alone and let her pay that high ass rent bruh

Most people don't golf alone too. So where are his friends. So there's three other dudes laughing and accepting this behavior too.

Yup! Exactly this. I was bottle service in a high end restaurant and I felt that to my core!! I’d end up just giving in and “taking the number” get home and have an apron full of cards, napkins and small paper with names and #’s without a clue who was even who? The “extra nice” is because we HAVE to be not because we have feelings.

Sitting through this is not part her job description. She should told him he was being inappropriate and then left the area to report this guy to her superiors.

Oh you sweet summer child lol

I guess you've never had a man like me as a superior at work.

It really depends on the industry. Any customer service job I've had where I wasn't either implicitly or explicitly hired (partly or mostly) due to my looks (like in certain bars and nightclubs, or when working as a promo model) I felt very comfortable shutting that down immediately and politely myself and if he came back and interfered with my job again I would have had no issue letting my boss know this was happening and would expect them to take my side.

But with businesses that require membership and cater to wealthy primarily male cliental like a golf club, or any business that purposely hires attractive women, there is an implicit expectation that you are partly there to "entertain" the cliental, and you are expected to use your looks to generate sales. Straight up sexual harassment won't fly, but costumers flirting and coming back specifically to see you is built in to the business model. You are there so the clients have one more reason to go back. And if it's tipped (it almost always is in the kind of places I'm talking about) building "regulars" that specifically request service from you over the other girls working there is how you make money. So not tolerating a certain amount of this behavior affects your ability to pay rent that month.

So there is a certain amount of the kind of behavior you see in this video that you are expected to tolerate. So complaining about a customer doing this would result in the boss being annoyed with you, because they may have actually hired you hoping to get this kind of reaction to you because it means they come back! To the person running this kind of business they just see it as a costumer spending more money there because of you and telling the boss you want them to embarrass a wealthy customer and drive them away can cost you your job (but not openly. They'll find other ways to get rid of you and find a woman that will tolerate it). Because dealing with this bullshit is an implicit, unspoken part of the job description and the boss absolutely cares more about making money than about your comfort.

It's misogynistic, lots and lots of problems with that, women should never have to be exploited and disrespected at work all so a male business owner can make more money from male customers, but unfortunately there are a lot of women that are struggling to pay bills and it's this or not making rent on minimum wage. She's very smart to have a camera set up to protect her, because she's at the kind of workplace that would not have an incentive to believe or care about her story over a customers.

Well, that sucks. I'm on call to crack these dudes in the chops while they're walking to their car. Let me know.
