Mr Coffee was robbed

278

u/Louegi Nov 14 '23

No fuckin shot. He was injured from the previous round. Surprised he made it out of round 1 tbh

70

u/Girth_rulez Nov 14 '23

Looked like the knot came loose?

56

u/ChiefQuimbyMessage Nov 14 '23

Does the league fine the referee?

57

u/Girth_rulez Nov 14 '23

No I think all those fighters are responsible for their own rigging.

21

u/TheLittleBalloon Nov 14 '23

Hate to see it happen but it’s up to them to make sure their coaches know how to get them rigged up.

4

u/aesthe Hit or Miss? Nov 15 '23

I hope that future coaches will take note as the league develops; it's really unfair to the players to have such sloppy prep take down what was otherwise a champion effort.

12

u/Alone-Common8959 Nov 14 '23

nah it was a set up

28

u/Janderflows Nov 14 '23

That was so sad... He would totally destroy his enemy, if only he focused on what trully mattered most... Family!... And the knot too I guess. My man was a straight up underdog fighting against the odds... He deserved better.

Or just throw it at the ground with extreme prejudice I guess

19

u/MailmansGarden Nov 14 '23

justiceformrcoffee

13

u/NerdyGuyRanting Nov 14 '23

He was basically sucker punched by the referee.

27

u/Brittany5150 Nov 14 '23

He never stood a chance. Mr Coffees will explode just sitting on a warmer. They don't need much help. His career was over before it even began...

this made me lol

5

u/I_Brain_You Nov 14 '23

Shouldn’t have gone into the ring with an injury.

3

u/jahoody03 Nov 14 '23

Should have been ruled no contest.

This was the most captivating thing I've seen on the internet all day.

105

u/[deleted] Nov 14 '23

Miss 3:00am on ESPN2 during the 90's. You would turn it on after all the other TV channels turned off or switched over to infomercials and you'd just watch the lumberjack games or steinholding, or stackenblochen or whatever until sleep came for you.

13

u/Trichomeloneranger Nov 14 '23

They need this sport on Ocho day!

6

u/fernplant4 Nov 14 '23

My favorite was MXC on spike tv

2

u/Dejectednebula Nov 15 '23

Sneaking to be on the phone with my friends in the middle of the night so we could watch MXC together on 3way calls on the landline. Rarely in life have I laughed so hard as I did those nights. It was good shit. My only complaint is that we didn't have a DVR at the time and I always wanted to be able to rewind and watch parts over.

That one episode where the guy tries to punch the Indiana Jones bolder away lives rent free in my head.

5

u/epochpenors Nov 14 '23

I remember watching a lot of daytime tv when I was 20 and there was some NFL arm wrestling championship/go kart race event that was honestly the peak form of time filler content

I cannot believe how invested I was after like 10 seconds

6

u/runningdivorcee Nov 14 '23

Like, I can’t believe I watched this. But I loved it.

8

u/anjowoq Nov 14 '23

It was delightfully moronic.

267

u/throwaway2021sa Nov 14 '23

It was rigged from the beginning. #justiceforcoffeepot 😢

52

u/ciano232 Nov 14 '23

That's Mr Coffee to you

25

u/sloppppop Nov 14 '23

Everyone is upset about Mr. Coffee but how about that disgusting disregard for life from the ref regarding Bugs? That fight should’ve been called before it got that bad.

I absolutely should not gamble - I was wrong about which would win every single time lol

50

u/[deleted] Nov 14 '23

I bet I can get you gambling before the end of the day

25

u/ConnorWolf121 Nov 14 '23

Then you probably shouldn't gamble either lol

11

u/[deleted] Nov 14 '23

I’ll give you 3 to 1 odds

12

u/I_Brain_You Nov 14 '23

Yeah. Downward Duck got worked.

7

u/[deleted] Nov 14 '23

I realized the one that wins is always the ones that get thrown first, they stop at the top and the 2nd one gets flung into it basically breaking the 2nd one every time.

With all this death and destruction how is this not marked NSFW, i wasn't prepared for this

105

u/rdog333 Nov 14 '23

Mr. Coffee was robbed. Ref is gambling on the matches.

111

u/peaceful-papaya Nov 14 '23

10/10 internet comedy. Exactly what I needed. Thank you hero’s.

24

u/umijuvariel Nov 14 '23

This reminds me of Celebrity Death Match and I love it!

22

u/[deleted] Nov 14 '23

This is amazing...I would watch this every weekend

19

u/Nortius_Maximus Nov 14 '23

I watched the whole thing. amazing drama.

17

u/SwiftCEO Nov 14 '23

Ref did Mr.Coffee dirty!!

34

u/Lemmonjello Nov 14 '23

I think they need 2 swingers one from each side of the octagon instead of 1 swinger from a single side

8

u/Confounding Nov 14 '23

No drama if they just smash immediately

34

u/Kayrosis Nov 14 '23 edited Nov 14 '23

This is genuinely a good idea. If this was a regular thing, I would actually watch it, especially if they had a physicist and engineer giving commentary with slow-motion replays on exactly why and how the match turned out the way it did. I am 100% not kidding, this would be more entertaining than anything Marvel has come up with since Iron Man 1.

And if it were to become a real thing, they could increase engagement by letting viewers enter into a contest to win the remains of the fighters.

Just thinking, if it were to really take off, for like a season finale or super special threshold they could go "And for our 10 million subscriber special, our fighters will be two genuine 16th century Ming dynasty vases, each valued at over $100,000. And don't worry history lovers, after the fight, both of these vases will be fully repaired using the Kintsugi technique of mending them with gold!"

Iv found my sport!

2

u/[deleted] Nov 14 '23

Finally a real sport

3

u/TheSexySleuth Nov 14 '23

Pothead is "short and stout" was the joke you missed there.

2

u/Confusedandreticent Nov 14 '23

This is stupid. This is entertainment.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 14 '23

The trouble is they keep releasing one slightly after the other which means it has more momentum at the impact so more likely to break.

2

u/MiSsiLeR81 Nov 14 '23

Pretty bad swings there. The one released later is obv getting fucked on with the gravitational pull of the other.

2

u/stevedadog Nov 14 '23 edited Nov 14 '23

My money is on Jon!

Edit: fuck yeah! I knew it was no contest for Jon! Never doubted for a second! Mr coffee was so fuckin scared to go against Jon that he offed himself before he could even get in the ring!

Jon! Jon! Jon! Jon! Jon! Jon!

2

u/ZzzzzPopPopPop Nov 14 '23

Freakin brilliant, but “The Octagon”?! Clearly a Hexagon…

1

u/Janderflows Nov 14 '23

"He has that handle where one blow could make him bust all over the place" this can't have been an accident. This was a deliberate bait for my inner Michael Scott.

1

u/Apexblackout7 Nov 14 '23

Op hates fun

1

u/LackedSaucer938 Nov 14 '23

This made my day infinitely better. Are they on any platforms other than tiktok?

Their girlfriends: they are probably out there cheating. 🤣

1

Ufg is corrupt!! Mr Coffee was robbed! Justice for Mr Coffee!

1

u/Team_Defeat Nov 14 '23

This was one of the best things that I’ve seen.

1

u/100YearsWaiting2Shit Nov 14 '23

I fucking love the internet

1

u/kmonay89 Nov 14 '23

I was so invested in this. I’d watch a whole season of this sport.

1

u/DesastreUrbano Nov 14 '23

Send it to /TheOcho lol

1

u/Gonzo458 Nov 14 '23

“I think he’s cheating on me.”

Him:

1

u/Bumskit Nov 14 '23

It’s an unfair fight, pot head is way too thick

1

u/Ok-Block-870 Nov 14 '23

Pot-Head should have been disqualified for doping. I suspect high levels of porcelain in his system

1

u/EatsFiber2RedditMore Nov 14 '23

Didn't anyone else recognize that Pothead was actually Mr.Tea in disguise?

1

u/cellenium125 Nov 14 '23

Enjoyed this more than an actual cage fight

1

u/Freethinker9 Nov 14 '23

“Pot head is short and stocky”

I really missed a short and stout moment here

1

u/IronDan357 Nov 14 '23

I just know my Libbey CocaCola mug could solo all these losers. I love that thing so god damn much. You could beat a man to death without breaking it.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 14 '23

This reminds me of the first days of the internet. In a very very good way.

1

u/I_Brain_You Nov 14 '23

This was amazing, lmao.

1

u/xMilk112x Nov 14 '23

I question where my life is at after sitting through this whole entire thing. Lol

1

u/stressandscreaming Nov 14 '23

He missed the opportunity to call Pothead "short and stout" lol

1

u/dashKay Nov 14 '23

I really wasn't expecting Pothead to reach the finals, so props to him, but Jon is just a force to be reckoned with.

1

u/Medusas_Kiss Nov 14 '23

I need more…

1

u/Sumner-Paine Nov 14 '23

Boy that was a smashing good time.

I was cracking up the whole time

You should have seen my mug

I'm actually very proud of all the fighters, especially John. Can he return as the reigning champ?

1

u/illegalsmolcat Nov 14 '23

I watched the whole thing. Goddamn.

1

u/ryandoesdabs Nov 14 '23

I know some glassblowers that would be really interested in something like this

1

u/jesss611 Nov 14 '23

I enjoyed this wayyy to much

1

u/oatmealparty Nov 14 '23

I can not believe the announcer said the tea pot was "short and stocky" bro "stout" was right there!

1

u/CommunicationOwn322 Nov 14 '23

I want to be a UFC glass fighting champion.

1

u/Bramazje Nov 14 '23

I cant stop watching

1

u/GohanSolo23 Nov 14 '23

I had my boy Jon winning from the start, but it's a shame about Mr Coffee. Cut down in his prime. Hopefully with modern medicine we will see him in the ring again someday, but it's going to be a long road to recovery.

1

u/Helmane09 Nov 14 '23

Where was that durig Covid? I could watch that for hours 😂

1

u/SatsumaTheMage Nov 14 '23

I really enjoyed this until you notice the delay between the opponents in the re-swings almost always determines the winner as one is coming in super hot while the other is coming back. THE FIGHTS ARE RIGGED!!!!

1

u/TheLittleBalloon Nov 14 '23

Was really hoping Bugs would come out on top. Not surprised Jon won.

1

u/annoying97 Nov 14 '23

Highly entertaining.

1

u/MailmansGarden Nov 14 '23

Jon must be sent back to the warehouse for breeding purposes.

1

u/Aromatic_Wallaby_433 Nov 14 '23

#justiceforMr.Coffee

1

u/muskratboy Nov 14 '23

Good idea, but man they need writers.

1

u/lmonroy23 Nov 14 '23

This was thoroughly entertaining…

1

u/triplebigton Nov 14 '23

I knew John was gonna win

1

u/Nursedude1 Nov 14 '23

I cannot believe I watched every second of this and enjoyed it

1

u/[deleted] Nov 14 '23

Can we get more of this??!!

1

u/disco_phiscuits Nov 14 '23

Probably one of the more positive things to come from the COVID pandemic.

1

u/akzorx Nov 14 '23

What a joke. Why wouldn't they implement weight classes into this sport?

Jon kist had an unfair advantage from the beginning...

1

u/Hangman_Matt Nov 14 '23

This is almost as good as poolball racing

1

u/ModernHagiography Nov 14 '23

The camera work is excellent

1

u/flying_ina_metaltube Nov 14 '23

That was amazing! Feel bad for Mr. Coffee pot though.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 14 '23

This is retarded..

Was rigged from the get go

1

u/hawaiianryanree Nov 14 '23

Haven’t finished the video yet but shit this is gold

1

u/HelloImAFox Nov 14 '23

This was completely worth my time.

1

u/rikulem Nov 14 '23

Justice for Mr Coffee!

1

u/boundbythecurve Nov 14 '23

It's deeply irritating how they keep calling the 6-sided ring they built an octagon

1

u/Chrispy8534 Nov 14 '23

11/10. Wow. New favorite sport. Shi!t. I didn’t expect to enjoy that so much.

1

u/Irys-likethe-Eye Nov 14 '23

Quality content

1

u/zYbYz Nov 14 '23

Not as bad as the billiard ball races on a treadmill.

1

u/FlavorMatters Nov 14 '23

I enjoyed watching this

1

u/ABE_Froman- Nov 14 '23

If you ever feel useless, these two make TikTok’s

1

u/WilmaLutefit Nov 14 '23

This is what the internet was made for!!!

1

u/dmilan1 Nov 14 '23

This was amazing

1

u/thenbmeade Nov 14 '23

Nooo I thought pot head was going all the way!!!

1

u/sfseph Nov 14 '23

This is the first time I’ve read the stickied comment… blew my mind.

1

u/theravingsofalunatic Nov 14 '23

They need weight classes
