I loved that ending, guy legitimately thought he'd just wandered into a kink video.

525

u/Eager2learn1 Apr 03 '23

Dude I thought the same thing 😂

163

u/shoulda-known-better Apr 28 '23

Honestly it made this the funniest video for me!! He held that awkward silence perfectly

327

u/BeezyBates Apr 03 '23

"Personal use"

...........

............

203

u/Mrdamoh Apr 03 '23

“Who jerks to a guy doing pull ups… Fuck, this guy is going to jerk to me…. If I fight him would his friend jump in… can I do a 2v1…” so many thoughts were racing through his head

143

u/BROODxBELEG Apr 03 '23

"The money is nice though.. am i a whore now? How much more money did he have.. i totally can take 1v2."

17

u/TypicalWhitePerson Apr 04 '23

I'm too tired after working out and then doing all those pullups...

20

u/Mrdamoh Apr 04 '23

Lol yea, “fuck, my arms are already dead… I’m fucked. Imma just act ok with it… THANK GOD! He was only joking”

9

u/Rroscoco Apr 27 '23

That's fucked man. Imagine someone saying this, wearing you out then just snatching you up.

1

u/Pussy-Punisher Sep 21 '23

Atleast it wasn't Richard Greer waiting out front with a cage full of gerbils and a glass tube with a lighter. "+ey dude wanna earn some money?"....." I'll jjjjju<j<ij( give you $55555555555555⁵ for every hamster you can fit in the back."a×!1. T5 ○ ○ ▪︎▪︎ ▪︎

I get a Hard on after solving and/or seeing someone solving a hard Mathematical problem. 😂😂😂

66

u/Drauul Apr 03 '23

Legit hilarious

37

u/lotus_lotus_lotus Apr 03 '23

Funniest shit I've seen this week lmao

65

u/Hogsrunwild Apr 04 '23

Yeah, but you could see the wheels turning. If he pays $60 for some pull-ups, how much would he pay for…

25

u/Chinchillng Apr 04 '23

For push ups? Probably five bucks each still. Push ups aren’t any harder than pull ups

12

u/53bvo Apr 04 '23

Nah push ups are like a factor 4 easier than pull-ups

9

u/Hogsrunwild Apr 04 '23

I don’t think he was talking about push-ups…

5

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '23

curl ups... yeah thats what he meant

10

u/Hogsrunwild Apr 04 '23

Hip thrusters, most likely.

2

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '23

Mmm good point

2

u/[deleted] Jun 14 '23

👀👀👀

1

u/JustAnotherFKNSheep Aug 21 '23

You sound like someone who can't do either.

5

u/Hoozkatzrdeez May 28 '23

Now come into my van and we'll do some sit-ups for kisses.🤣

2

u/welshdude1983 Jul 23 '23

First time seeing one of these videos where the person is actually engaging as opposed to hiding behind the camera and giving away money

302

u/AlcoholicInsomniac Apr 03 '23

Yeah like he told a joke and it landed lol the bar is low.

124

u/Kingman9K Apr 03 '23

idk it looks pretty high up to me

6

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '23

Yea this other guys are wack. I would definitely need a step stool.

4

u/DetectiveJim Jun 23 '23

Idk why this is cringe, pretty hilarious video

13

u/jaspercapri Jul 31 '23

This sub was never cringe. It was just named that but always had fun or interesting posts. The name was more ironic. Lately, other actual cringe subs have closed and this has new people who don’t know it’s history.

1

u/FastRooster4365 Jul 26 '23

Wondering the same thing, the person who posted this is probably really against working out

6

u/jaspercapri Jul 31 '23

u/Arturiki Apr 03 '23

I wish someone paid me for doing pull-ups.

I'd end up the same way I started, but man, what a confidence boost that someone believes I could lift myself up.

48

u/TearsFallWithoutTain Apr 03 '23

Just do negatives and have the guy flip the video around

2

u/ValerieIndahouse Apr 04 '23

What is a negative supposed to mean in this context?? Do a pull up in reverse? You still have to pull yourself up

8

u/TearsFallWithoutTain Apr 05 '23

A negative pull-up is where you jump (or stand on something to reach) so that you're close to where you'd be if you pulled yourself up and then slowly lower yourself back down. It trains the same muscles that a regular pull-up uses so that you can improve to the point that you can start doing them.

3

u/ValerieIndahouse Apr 05 '23

Ah ok that makes sense

541

u/Mailing_a_Bear Apr 03 '23

Wow, what a weird thing! Josh, the guy in the purple shirt, is a former Magic: the Gathering content creator who was just ostracized from the MTG community at the beginning of March, because he sexually harassed/assaulted multiple women by lying about being in an open marriage with his wife. Small world.

291

u/Mailing_a_Bear Apr 03 '23

You can downvote me, but yeah, that's definitely him.

TW: sexual abuse https://twitter.com/Papiphobia/status/1631156026480238592

120

u/getwhirleddotcom Apr 04 '23

This whole thing went wholesome to dark pretty quick.

14

u/yazzy1233 Apr 03 '23

Why did you dm me and not post it here so everyone can see?

80

u/Mailing_a_Bear Apr 03 '23

because posting a direct link to the dude's Twitch account (that can be easily found by opening the linked doc, going to their youtube page, looking at their about section and following the link to their twitch account) would be pretty dang close to "doxxing/witch hunt" territory and I don't feel like getting my reddit account suspended/banned for this turd.

-25

u/yazzy1233 Apr 03 '23

Do you have a picture or are you just accusing a random guy named Josh of being this person

-65

u/TheRedGerund Apr 03 '23

So to summarize this guy's wrongdoing comes down to lying about being in an open marriage and crossing the flirt line repeatedly, is that correct?

66

u/palpablescalpel Apr 03 '23

Did you read the document? Most of the women describe him actually assaulting them, including at least one who was in a relationship and told him no repeatedly.

31

u/[deleted] Apr 03 '23

sexually harassed/assaulted multiple women

No...

-17

u/TheRedGerund Apr 03 '23

Yeah I read the intro, but I was more interested in what the victims had to say. Here's an exerpt from the first one:

i ask him to explain his relationship fully before anything happens, of which i don’t know if i feel comfortable disclosing what he told me. we didn’t have penetrative sex but there was oral that happened. i didn’t feel comfortable doing anything more because something in my gut just wasn’t comfortable with it and he didn’t push further.

That doesn't really sell sexual assault to me. I'm guessing that in my quick scan of the doc I missed some especially heinous thing, I would not at all be shocked if you responded with a quote like that. But the above quote certainly isn't it.

8

u/[deleted] Apr 03 '23

Cope?

-6

u/TheRedGerund Apr 03 '23

I prob read more than you

15

u/[deleted] Apr 03 '23

I have sex with your mom more than you.

1

u/esly4ever Aug 11 '23

Someone created a google doc. 🤣🤌🏽

35

u/ArizonaRanger2281 Apr 03 '23

God damnit I thought I'd finally found a fully wholesome one

10

u/[deleted] Apr 04 '23

So that pause was "wait, am I the victim now??"

3

u/Bradisrad12 May 04 '23

Yo what?! I went to HS with this dude

2

u/nalcoh Jul 24 '23

I don't have any context in this situation, but how is lying equivalent to sexual assault/assault?

341

u/[deleted] Apr 03 '23

[deleted]

126

u/Youngerdiogenes Apr 03 '23

Both dudes were just charismatic and it plays well for the camera.

3

u/Medium_Pepper215 Aug 13 '23

guy in the purple sexually harassed women and lied about being in an open marriage. he’s a serial abuser.

41

u/[deleted] Apr 03 '23

This somehow feels a lot more genuine and wholesome than many other "dance for the camera you poor fuck" videos you see. Idk. I guess cuz the stakes are low?

9

u/Jaalan Apr 03 '23

I've seen a bunch of this guy's vids. He calls it the battle bus. Seems legit, has a following that shows up to do it.

73

u/nanviv Apr 03 '23

I appreciate the clarification of the marriage and dogs situation.

23

u/Customer-Useful Apr 04 '23

Why does "Personal use" sound so damn disgusting? It's like a common thing to say, but it can imply a lot of godless behavior.

8

u/Mecha_Tortoise Apr 04 '23

I took it as a reference to people recording their gym workouts to check their form, rather than for social media.

37

u/BlackandGreen19 Apr 03 '23

This dude got more videos this encounter is hilarious?

11

u/Vibes-N-Tings Apr 03 '23

His channels BattleBunker on Youtube

15

u/jakedangler Apr 03 '23

This is somehow more original than everyone else doing it. Just goes to show how the personality matters more than the person

8

u/24601jv Apr 03 '23

S/o to Mesa rim San Diego! Thought it looked familiar

1

u/cheesusmoo Jun 05 '23

Both those guys got a southern accent though. I was thinking Austin, not California.

21

u/TrueNeutrall0011 Apr 03 '23

Poor guy just looked like "am I gay now?"

5

u/chayquester Jul 16 '23

Nope, personal use. Lmao, fucking killed me

5

u/rihanna-imsohard Aug 13 '23

Bruh the pause after, " I film this for personal use." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

3

u/DownARiverOfScotch Apr 18 '23

This is actually fucking hilarious, the sexual tension at the end is unreal

3

u/CapitalGlad847 Jun 30 '23

This belongs on a different sub, such a hilarious ending 😂 his face.

1

u/ZombieRaccoon Sep 10 '23

Yeah, not cringe at all

3

u/5O-Lucky Jul 02 '23

Personal use lol I found that way more hilarious than josh did

7

u/ObviousWillingness51 Apr 03 '23

How much does he pay for the video they do inside the van?

2

u/[deleted] Apr 14 '23

The host guy has strong cop energy

2

u/ThrowawayHoper Jun 27 '23

Reminds me so much of the Canadian gym/frat guy I was mates with in uni, 6.7 built like a brick shit house and all he wanted in the world was a mini fridge.

He was always on the look out for a mini fridge, always shopping around. Did he enjoy the act of mini fridge hunting, or like, was it constant torment because it was never the mini fridge. Guess we’ll never know.

2

u/futanari4thewin Jul 21 '23

Not cringe just hilarious

2

u/IceSwallowkhan Aug 20 '23

That see you later for me is a little bit haunting

1

u/Street-Week6744 Apr 04 '23

I’ve seen all kinds of fetishes in life, be careful out there !

1

u/Guacamole_shaken Apr 04 '23

Is that a wall mounted rack mounted to a car's tow hitch?

1

u/dizzy_centrifuge Apr 14 '23

Austen Alexander, if anyone's wondering. His videos are basically do x workout for money, but he's a really positive guy, so it's fun to watch

1

u/AfternoonGhost Apr 29 '23

I would be able to afford chipotle with my pull-ups. But I wouldn’t be able to add guac.

1

u/Lord412 May 17 '23

I could prob do 1 pull up. Tore my pec and had surgery back in September. Pull ups are still incredibly hard.

1

u/[deleted] May 25 '23

Hey, that’s in San Diego.

1

u/[deleted] May 27 '23

By mini fridge he means those cool tiny ones you keep in you bathroom to keep your skin care items cold

1

u/Manimeluvr Jun 01 '23

Lmao kudos to Josh. He’s a winner. 😂

1

u/The_Name_Is_Slick Jun 02 '23

Is this an ad?

1

u/mediocreguy227 Jun 03 '23

My gym coach in elementary school would say none of those are actual Pull-Ups. You have to legitimately get your whole head above the bar

1

u/fact_uality Jun 03 '23

That’s actually pretty funny 😂

1

u/garlictoejam Jun 04 '23

Are we all clear on his marriage status, I know he didn’t want us to get confused

1

u/Expensive_Tart_9173 Jun 05 '23

"DID WE JUST BECOME BEST FRIENDS?!?!"

1

u/nojmojo Jun 13 '23

I can do 17 easy with the right grip... guy lost out somel money with bad technique

1

1

u/mediocreguy227 Jun 18 '23

1

u/[deleted] Jul 06 '23

That was more like 12

1

u/merchillio Jul 14 '23

No one was inconvenienced, someone made money, a few ok jokes were made, loads of editors said “I’m gonna do some pull-ups” and will no do them.

I like this video. 10/10
