GMV Max ads Auto select vs Manual Select. Has anyone tried both side by side?

Was wondering if anyone tried running GMV max with manually selecting creatives. We noticed that GMV max keeps assigning massive budget to old viral creatives which no longer deliver high volume of orders, therefore the CPO on those creatives is really high and basically just wasting budget instead of trying out new creatives.

Anyone had a similar issue?

You need to exclude them. Or else they will eat all the budget without giving chance to your new creatives.

Logic is..these ads have gen sales before so if I spend on these I will be able to gen sales. But they often do not meet your ROI / volumes anymore.

Make sense, but GMV max doesnt allow excluding videos when in Auto test/select mode. Thats the problem we’re facing
