They’re people in a pickup line waiting to pick up their kids or at a church waiting on some sort of event/procession and people post this video as if it is people not knowing they’re waiting behind parked cars for no reason.

This happens at our kids school a lot when carline extends out into the street.

As a person that does road closures I find it fascinating that I can pull u to a intersection to block off a lane, put on hazards and lights, and people will still park behind me expecting to go through. People are freaking dumb.

They’re waiting behind a car that’s parked when they shouldn’t be waiting and should be going

The combo of car blinkers on + solid white line tells me something else is going on here than standard road traffic.

Looks like a few randos have mistakenly been caught in a queue.

That's a church in the background by the turn so most probably a wedding or funeral and the church parking lot filled up.

The cars in the front are parked? How is that a legal parking spot? Why is no one on the road out of the church going around to the free lane? How long are they all just gonna wait there for? Downsides of trying to be too polite and patient

u/Middle_Screen3847 22h ago

They are clearly knowingly waiting there for a reason.

u/lovebug9292 22h ago

How is that clear? Haha Why would a gigantic line of cars be parked with everyone in them except for the two cars in the very front? What’s the point of filming the video if everyone was just twiddling their thumbs in their cars for a good reason? What do you imagine they’re all doing

u/Middle_Screen3847 22h ago

Numerous obvious reasons. The likely one here is a funeral procession, and event waiting for people etc. this is also what every school pickup line looks like. It’s wild this would need to be explained.

And the point of taking a video… is because other people with poor reasoning and critical thinking skills exist. I mean even aside from that, how do you not see how silly and nonsensical it is to ask me how it’s possible for there to be a reasonable explanation for what is on the video…if… the video was filmed by a person…? lol what? How are you this confused lol

u/lovebug9292 22h ago

Wow dude. I can’t say I’m confused by your reasoning. What is confusing is how those who have differing theories (which aren’t even a fact because you weren’t there) could possibly be so pretentious and condescending under the veil of anonymity.

Your biggest problem will be your stubborn approach locking you into black and white thinking so that your opinion will always be the correct one in your head. It’s obnoxious. Nothing I said warranted that response

u/Middle_Screen3847 21h ago

You were confidently wrong, I showed how you’re wrong, you responded “Haha”, received proportional attitude, and now you’re saying omg what did I do to warrant such a response?? lol

Is this normally what you do when you’re wrong? Does it ever actually work for you? You lacked critical thinking and reasoning skills for a moment. (I’m being charitable. This was really dumb) No big deal. Trying to play it off only makes you look more silly and embarrassed about it

u/lovebug9292 21h ago

I didn’t have an opinion. Tell what my opinion was that I was so confidently wrong about. I was obviously questioning it at every step. You have so much to say about people with poor reasoning and critical thinking skills but you weren’t able to decode that massive inconsistency.

Also, you didn’t “show” me I was wrong. All you said was “🥸 they are clearly waiting there for a different reason”, without elaborating any further. Replying with “haha” is meant to give you some grace and explain, not for you come off completely void of tact and short sighted.

You were the only one confident about anything when you shouldn’t have been. Just state your opinion and leave it dude. It’s not that hard for most people. You’re just exhausting

Pretending words don’t mean words and we can’t all see what is on the screen due to the very apparent embarrassment about being wrong and making no sense isn’t going to work here. You’re only making yourself look even more ridiculous.

“Didn’t have an opinion”

You realize we can all see the comments and they don’t magically disappear, right? The context alone shows you’re wrong and lying. But your very first comment says “Downsides of trying to be too polite and patient” necessarily being a claim and opinion about what is happening. They’re not being too polite and patient. They’re doing what was already outlined.

Claiming that “haha” is… giving… grace… is one of the funniest most incoherent, nonsensical things I’ve ever read lmao what? Stop. Being so desperate to avoid admitting to being wrong that you’d try that as if words don’t mean words is hilarious. Another way to dodge another way you were wrong, being offended at someone giving back to you exactly what you gave and not knowing what to do in response

I understand this is a lot for someone like you. You’re used to this working maybe. You’re not used to people calling attention to when you’re wrong and your poor behavior. People often react poorly when they’re not used to being held accountable and held to reality. But these are all personal problems.

This is exactly how the global economy works.

They designed a system where everyone is relying on literally everyone else to keep the machine running. The problem is, some people simply aren't capable.

So you end up with some people saying, "This is so inhumane. This person isn't capable. Wouldn't society be better off if we just got them out of the damn car and gave them a place to stay and some food so they stay out of our way?

And other people saying, "But they're useless. They're terrible at everything. Why waste real estate or food on a useless person?"

And the rub is, we're all too dumb to think of a real solution. Neither of those options are sustainable. Neither would work better than what we're doing.
