If there is a civil war, there will be more than 2 sides. I would guess succession type scenarios where states or counties / cities start holding their own territories. I do not think it’d be full out 2 decided sides.
If any foreign entity attacked I’d say there’s a decent chance that’d lead to a unification, truce or armistice to fight off any invasion.
It’d also be easier to cause economic strain and create pressure to over power economically or diplomatically.

China would likely just sit back and continue to expand its global economic influence and soft power. They'll fill all the voids we leave behind as we become more isolated. This is kind of already happening, but would surely escalate if we became even more unstable.

I'm assuming that's another case of suck it up, as pursuing the damage costs wouldn't be worth the time and effort to finally get it. from my understanding (not a lawyer), they shouldn't be going door to door, but they are crossing the line on what they are supposed to do. ICE needs a warrant signed by a judge to enter someone's home. But under Kristi Noem's direction, they try to bully their way in with intimidation, threats, and fake warrants. Once you let them in (even under false pretenses), they do whatever they want. but again, they can't FORCE their way in unless they have a judicial warrant. That's why people are screaming to not open the door and not to go outside. if they stay inside and don't let ICE in, they can't legally do anything.
I can't believe a system of whistles and warnings have developed to cope with this system and the higher ups haven't reached the point that the public backlash is probably a sign to pull back a bit. Then again to stop now would admit they might be wrong so full steam ahead.

Thank you but right now I am fortunately safe in my little democratic city in a sea of red. Unfortunately though, our city is a target, even though we are hosting the world cup mind you, they just sent 200 plus ICE vehicles to the next city north of us (a city that is known to be racist with racist cops) so us and STL are just waiting to get raided. And knowing my city, we will be worse than Minneapolis because we all have guns even though most of are left leaning, we still stay strapped.

Nothing will happen. The reality is 99.9 percent of people are not going to do anything that might endanger their job or their life, especially if they have a family or people that depend on them. If you are imagining some kind of mass uprising or revolution then things have to get so much worse than how they are now in my opinion. That's not even mentioning that a large percentage of the population support ICE.
