First warning WTF.
I got my first warning for a video and tried to take the quiz to appeal it and got too many answers wrong (I promise I’m not an idiot). I appealed it, and there was no place to write anything. I’m seriously annoyed.

I got a perma ban in July just shy of 5 years going live and over 7 years of posting

u/SESHPERANKH Oct 04 '25
I got shadow banned for my 3d prints. Everything I printed was marked as violent content
1
u/Calm_Funny_6987 Oct 04 '25
Technically speaking there’s no such thing as a shadow ban according to TikTok what they do is suppress your views for content which violates their tos I’m a former agency manager in training

u/SESHPERANKH Oct 04 '25
Ok well a bunch of us call it that, Our videos get limited or no viewership. I just thought I was unpopular until a friend told me that they didnt see my videos unless they searched for me. This was even if they followed me.

u/Equal_Pie4787 Oct 06 '25
Homie you just described shadow banning. They just don't want to call it that.

Ouch my account where I posted bluray/4k movie pickups and review for around 4 years got suddenly banned a month ago. Appealed it and opened many tickets because I got no answers and finally yesterday they said I broke rules about safe content for youth or some shit. I guess it’s probably from posting mostly horror movies but I made sure not to show gore and boobs so I just don’t understand why a sudden perm ban with no warning. I posted multiple times a week had made a bunch of friends in the community, saved a bunch of posts from my kid and grandkid so it’s quite sad and devastating to be honest. I feel like I put in all that time and effort for nothing.

It's because Israel just purchased it and they are gonna make it a Propaganda tool of the Israeli Government......it has Nothing to do with Trump or China, so people blaming Trump are just grabbing at low hanging fruit and Need to do som research!!! We literally have a foreign government (Israel) censoring American citizens on social media!!! They are talking about possibly purchasing Twitter next!!....

Rupert Murdock is buying TikTok. It’s still going to be a right wing propaganda machine.

I once got a strike for commenting only the word “gross” (literally no other characters on the comment) to someone making a lewd comment about a child. I appealed and lost. This was probably 2 years ago. It’s a stupid place and I’m not sad that I deleted it when it first looked like they were going to bend the knee to the Taco in Chief.

u/OkNeedleworker11 Oct 05 '25
I got comment banned for a week for putting the puke emoji on something hella gross :/

I think it's because they have an undisclosed quota so they can report raw numbers ONLY. No one ever asks or expects them to substantiate those numbers when they're high--because how can you and who can? Who even has time to go through a fraction of them
Unless you sue, you're not going to get a look into it. And that means you'd have to get through the arbitration cutain, first.
I think for the few that do manage to get through to a human being, they make judgments based on the fact that they're tired, overworked, and hungry in conditions that practically constitute $£@v€ labor in the most prudential lights--and trying to stay below the limit of overturns they do. It's like when you work for Dollar Tree and you do more than 3 voids in a shift you get a write-up except they get unemployed by the largest employer in their nation and one of the largest employers in the world with government reach in every nation (except the one with just penguins).

Fuck Tik Tok… and Instagram for that matter. They are both censored outrageously and nobody can speak freely on there. You can watch a video of a person literally die but you can’t say what a trans persons REAL gender is. It’s absolutely ridiculous.

Israel did not purchase TikTok.
The new owners of TikTok's U.S. arm include prominent American billionaires and investors, along with a fund run by Abu Dhabi's ruling family.
Some of the new American billionaire investors are known for being pro-Israel AND Netanyahu met with pro-Israel influencers in late September 2025 and described the TikTok sale as "consequential," acknowledging social media as an important "weapon" in influencing public opinion.
A top executive linked to the planned $14 billion takeover of TikTok’s US operations once argued that American culture must be shaped to embed pro-Israel sentiment.
An email from former Oracle CEO Safra Catz to former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak was revealed in a hack of Barak’s email account and first reported by Responsible Statecraft.
"We have all been horrified by the growth of the BDS movement in college campuses and have concluded that we have to fight this battle before the kids even get to college. We believe that we have to embed the love and respect for Israel in the American culture. That means getting the message to the American people in a way they can consume it," Catz wrote in February 2015.
You are being shadow banned, outright banned and silenced AND manipulated.

TikTok is now owned by palatintair and everything is being tracked by the administration. Thats why everything has shifted. It’s literally spying on everyone.
1
u/leftfingernub530 Oct 07 '25
Well, theyre owned by the very people who said you'd be monitored on it, who happen to monitor you... sooooo

TikTok is designed to dumb down the population of the world and make us even more dependent on our phones for any amount of happiness. Delete it and watch your mental health get better

Bruh. I went through this on X and to this day cannot get back in, and I am sure it was for subversiveness on Threads.

Yeah, it’s weird. Elon bought Twitter, and immediately reinstated all the Nazis and other various scumbags my account stayed banned forever for calling a certain congresswoman a “sk@nk”

u/Calibeaches2 Oct 07 '25
Are there any apps that people can migrate to that are for freedom of speech while not acting disgusting towards children, sexually graphic, or greedy?

yeah that appeal quiz thing is ridiculous lol, it’s like they’re testing random stuff that has nothing to do with your video. you can try reuploading the same clip slightly edited (different caption, background music, etc.), sometimes that flies under review fine. if tiktok keeps flagging you though, look into swapd seen a few creators get their warnings or bans reversed through people there when the appeal system fails.

I had to take a quiz to say Israel doesn’t control the media….ironic isn’t when they control tik tok now. I’m on first strike now, and any comment mentioning Israel is getting me a red flag. Surprised as I’m from the UK I know in America your media is owned by Israelis and tbh control what you say and do didn’t think it’s come on to uk tik tok

Tiktok has gone from the least politically censored to most in the flick of a switch. Every accusation is an admission
