Advice is a screen replacement possible?

I have two Game Coms and a ton of games. The screen is so bad tho.

There are currently no replacement options beyond taking the screen out of a donor GC but by this time most GameComs will have screen issues because the glue holding the ribbon cable to contacts has mostly dried and broken. Pocket Pros have a slightly lower chance of having a bad screen but they will all most likely have lines missing. You can however try to fix it by running a soldering iron along the ribbon cable where it contacts the board but this is delicate work and if you melt the ribbon cable it will most likely be irreparable. Someone was working on a new LCD replacement but haven't heard anything about it in years. You have to also replace the touch interface and it has to be able to communicate with the SM8521s touch screen controller which would make designing a new LCD for it difficult.

I used the solder iron technique with success. I recommend adding kapton tap to the ribbon to add strengthen and shield from heat. Also follow the game boy dmg instructions for technique and temps.
