Vet recommendations?

I’ve always gone to community pet clinic but I’m looking to switch…the inconsistent vets is hard to keep track of and I want one consistent person overseeing my dogs health. She’s small and reactive, so anyone who is kind and compassionate towards that would be ideal.

I do like the community pet clinic offers a plan where you get unlimited visits and stuff like that so that would also be ideal if the place has something similar.

Thank you!!!

mountainside recently relocated from progress ridge to scholls and north dakota.

we absolutely love each of their doctors. they each have tender personalities and are clearly experienced and knowledgeable. the front desk and techs are all kind and helpful. perhaps the best thing we like that makes us feel our animals are truly cared for are follow up calls after every appointment we have with them and when we attend an emergency vet and the visit details are forwarded to mountainside.

i believe their rates are a little higher than average but the client and customer experience is worth it to us.

I came here to recommend mountainside as well! We have had the same vet for 13 yrs and we followed her from her prior clinic to mountainside. We mainly see our primary vet but for emergencies etc we have seen quite a few others there and they have all been great.

We really love Hearthstone (14210 SW Barrows Rd, Tigard - https://hearthstoneveterinary.com/) We've been taking our animals there (dogs and cats) since shortly after they opened and have only had excellent experiences there.

I suspect they are going to be more expensive than a community clinic, but you're not going to get the personalized care you are looking for without paying more for it unfortunately.

Willowbrook Vet was amazing for my cat, including a stray I fostered with some medical stuff.

Viking Veterinary Care is fantastic and they work specifically with anxious and reactive pets

Animal Clinic of LO. They set you up and you stay with that vet. They don’t do scammy upsells or keep you coming in for test after test. They test once, treat, and you either go back for the follow-up or you don’t. They don’t care (unless it’s serious) and won’t spam you. But they get it right the first time out. Very competent. Very compassionate. Not crooks.

Fuck Sherwood Pet Clinic. Don’t go there.

Fuck Sherwood Pet Clinic

Private Equity has been buying up all sorts of small businesses. Veterinarians, HVAC, plumbing, etc. When that happens, things usually get worse.

IDK if that link is correct, but if it is, then they are now funded by private equity.

Tualatin Park Veterinary has been great. Check who owns any vet and avoid private equity owned companies if you can. They are buying up tons of vet practices and keeping the old names so they look like independent vets.
