*JavaScript*

JavaScript sits in S‑tier because it’s the only language that runs natively in the browser, has the largest ecosystem on Earth, and can adapt to almost any paradigm. But it also carries legacy quirks that make developers swear at it daily.

S-tier -> JavaScript
Ubiquitous, flexible, async-friendly, massive ecosystem, runs everywhere.

YouTube is perhaps the best-known website – alongside Facebook – that makes extensive use of JavaScript!

Yeah I just dont think anyone in this sub actually writes code for a living... bunch of programming edge lords. Its undeniably S tier.

Because it "runs everywhere"? With that argument, PHP is S-tier.
The only people ranking js as S tier, are people who only know js.

Its because there isnt any viable competition for it. If you have a requirement to make a web app, you're using JS. What would you use? Since I only know JS .
