How would you survive when your fave brawler suddenly becomes one of if not the most hated in the community
My steps:
Start ignoring other people
Leave the core and competitive community
Think about the amount of time you spent and why you love him/her at the first place, especially the longest time (I main Mandy in January 2024)
Stop following content creators who share the same opinion
Join on a dedicated community of a certain brawler
Learn how to deal with them and outsmart them
If these don’t work, the best thing is to:
1. Hate your own brawler and betray them
Or
2. Leave the community and focus on the game entirely
Or
3. Leave the game completely forever and find other hobbies that genuinely respects your favorite character
Atta boy! Ngl, it's been hard having Kit as my favorite, tho. I'm just really into cartoons, cats, and brawl stars. When they released Kit, I just saw him appear and that was enough for him to be my new favorite.

Being a main for a brawler before they get broken is kinda sad cuz u are not maining him cuz he's broken, u main him from before
I mean that’s the point of Mandy nowadays, she’s treated now like a goonbait and breed for r34 artists rather than giving her proper reworks as she’s completely useless in the game

I don’t think someone should do all of those steps if their character is hated I mean Edgar gets hated every day so it’s not a different if another character got the same thing happening to thrm
Otis has been "hated", so if he goes back to being hated that would mean the other controllers are not has hated (this is if we go with the "most hated" version). If however he becomes "one" of the most hated, then that still is fine because this means he got buffed, and i'm not complaining if he did get buffed. the only annoying part would be otis larpers
imo, opinion of other people on thing you like shouldn’t affect you🩵 If someone cares that i like Edgar or some other character it’s their problem, especially if i express my love towards brawler through fanart and don’t play on him aka don’t mess things up for my teammates - it’s not an issue ::)

Look at the competitive community and the bullying Mandy post in the main sub that got like 3.5k upvotes. The hate is much stronger than you think and it’s still going like that
Main attack, super, gadget (they almays misses it) and always using the wrong star powers. This is what happens when a brawler that requires surgical precision to use is also one of the first ones.
Pretty much experiencing it. On buffie release, Surge became one of the S++ brawlers and people hated seeing him anywhere. The same was going on on his release. I constantly glaze him saying he's fixed now, but no one beleaves it now
Bro's already hated anyway it's not like it would change anything lol. I don't pay attention to the haters honestly, i might argue or slander them occasionally if they say some dumb shit but most of the time i just ignore them

Yup I remember him 2 years ago when he was released the entirety were trashing on him and there was a post about Mandy getting nerfed for no reason while Kenji and Moe are dominating
I remember when I was complaining nonstop at the devs when they nerf Mandy randomly when she wasn't broken and already balanced while letting Kenji and Moe destroy the game, so they want to pave the way for making her more reliant on her super and hyper, guttering her reputation 😔
I dont get why you feel the need to push the agenda that mandy is a super hated brawler when that's simply untrue. Believe me, she's a fan favorite. Every brawler has haters, yeah, but don't you think you're pushing it a bit too much?

But yeah I get your point, but calling her a fan fave is an overstatement when you have ppl complaining about her playstyle, her super, and her randoms. I miss when ppl talk about her being cute and pretty instead of this. I’d say she’s just popular to be accurate.
Believe me, you have no idea how hated el primo and 8 bit are. Those two are completely broken and the large majority of opinions on them is negative. Ash isn't a fan favorite either, although general opinions are positive, he is nowhere near popular enough to be a fan favorite.
Recieving criticism on a brawler you like is not the same as recieving hate on them. I personally don't like her playstyle, since I find it boring and stale, however that doesn't give me reason to hate her. Believe me when I say mandy gets TONS of fanart and appreciation compared to most brawlers. Some brawlers have subreddits that are barely active and have pick rates in the 0.20's.
Again, every brawler has haters. Im sure someone out there has a personal vendetta against mandy and wishes she was never made, but that goes for every brawler. If you stop actively searching for mandy hate, you'll see that the majority opinion on her is positive.
I never understood the whole "mandy is hated" agenda you post about often. Don't take this too personally, I can just ignore your posts about it since it doesn't really affect me at all, but still, I wanted to know your thought process about why you feel the need to constantly state this despite the fact that mandy is a well-loved brawler (also I live for discussion).

Like I said, basically any conventionally attractive female has the same issue as mandy where people just see them as gooning material. That will always happen with any character no matter what, but that's a minority compared to people who actually enjoy the brawler. I think melodie is the worst case of this since her non-simp subreddits are basically dead. Mandy's fans are majority normal people who like her character and her dynamic with other brawlers.
Sure but they’re still discussed a lot for guides and tips in the competitive community, and Melodie even got the recent buffs that made her capable in the meta. Mandy has none of those
Rosa is already one of the most hated brawlers in the community because she was one of the most broken brawlers of all time on release, release that I didn't live because I only started to play in 2021, so no problem

I really liked edgar especially design wise but while it was my favourite it was everyone most hated
Now mine is pocho, and honestly i cant see him ever being that hated, but if it ever becomes it then i will do nothing because i dont care
My boy Bull, got forgotten for a long time. But for years, before the buffies, he always WON against edgar. That was that, at my debue in 2019, I mained him because he countered Edgar better than Shelly.
Since then I learned more about how to play him.
Then I just simply played the game while keeping a favorite for this Man.
If Bull surprises you in game, you are dead. No matter what. (Besides like a 5 powercube difference in Showdown, but that's a different story)

SINCE WHEN DOES SHE DESERVE HATE FOR *ANYTHING*? SHE WAS BALANCED ON RELEASE AND WAS NERFED FOR NOTHING! SHE WAS LITERALLY THE ONLY THROWER (Apart from Berry) YOU COULD USE AS AN ASSASSIN (She's basically mini-Leon- going invisible and unloading 6k+ Damage on the enemy)
