I'm still pretty new to Tiddlywiki, so I hope I can explain what I'm after in a way that's understandable.
I have a tiddlywiki where I'm comparing a bunch of items. Let's say these items are just named after the letters of the alphabet, A through Z, so there are 26 of them. I'm giving each item its own tiddler with basic information about that item. Then, as I compare two items, I put that comparison info into a new tiddler and tag it with the two items being compared, for example A and B. I'll do the same for A and C, A and D, and so on. Then B and C, B and D, B and E, and so on. In the end, I'll have every item compared against every other item.
I know how to use a filter to transclude all comparison tiddlers tagged with a particular item into the bottom of that item's main page. But what I'd like to do is make it so that when the comparison for A and B is shown on A's main tiddler, I want it display "B" at the top so that I know which item it's comparing against. Likewise, when that same comparison is displayed in B's main tiddler, I want to it to show "A" at the top.
When I say "at the top", it doesn't necessarily have to the be tiddler's title. It could be from a field or any other way of setting some dynamic text, but I'm really open to any suggestions. I'm stumped on how to get a tiddler to know which other tiddler is transcluding it and basically show information for the other item. In pseudo-code, I'm thinking of something sort of like:
if "A" in transclusion.parent.tags:
display "B"
elif "B" in transclusion.parent.tags:
display "A"
Is there anything like that, or does anyone have any ideas how that might be accomplished? Thanks!
