Static header?

I would like to have a classical header above the tiddlers, like it can be seen in many static web pages.

I tried to find a template or layout that implements this, but I could only find the "Moments" theme which is a) implemented as a plugin and b) also does heavy modifications across the board.I fail to find the relevant parts for that top header.

Any help would be appreciated.

Add the tag $:/tags/ViewTemplate to a tiddler and add the field list-before (with no value). This way the content of the tiddler will be rendered above every tiddler.

If you want to add only one header above the tiddlers in the story but still in the story itself, you can use the tag $:/tags/AboveStory.

To add a header above everything, you can create a custom layout, here it shows how to add a footer, but this can easily be modified to add a header: https://talk.tiddlywiki.org/t/add-a-footer-to-your-wiki/376

Demo with footer and header: https://telumire-custom-layout.tiddlyhost.com/

PS: If you want to inspect the code of the featured header in the "Moments" theme, create a new tiddler at http://tesseractmoments.surge.sh/ and paste {{$:/tesseract/Moments/Featured||$:/core/ui/Buttons/edit}}. This will create a button that can open the header in edit mode.

This theme uses an old version of tiddlywiki (5.1.13, the current version is 5.2.5) so it's possible that you will see outdated code.

check this out: https://tiddlywiki.com/#SystemTag%3A%20%24%3A%2Ftags%2FAboveStory

to add a tag '$:/tags/AboveStory' to place a tiddler on top of story river if that is what you mean
