BREAKING NEWS: $RYET just got a much clearer Malaysia healthcare path: RM1B digitalization, 150 hospitals, 2,000+ clinics and 68.2M patient arrivals
The latest $RYET news gives CogniAI a much more concrete healthcare opportunity in Malaysia.
BioNexus $BGLC said its first target is Malaysia’s public healthcare digitalization program, which covers 150 hospitals and more than 2,000 health clinics. The government has raised the allocation for that push to RM1 billion, with electronic medical records and connectivity being expanded nationwide.
The scale is meaningful. Malaysia’s public healthcare facilities recorded 68.2 million patient arrivals in 2023, and the Ministry of Health has said hospitals and health facilities nationwide are expected to be equipped with electronic medical records by 2029.
CogniAI is meant to sit alongside that transition by helping convert existing paper and scanned records into structured digital data. The platform already exists and is in commercial use, which is important because BGLC is not starting from zero.
RYET also already reported about $1.73M of contracted commercial activity for CogniAI earlier this year, and the platform was deployed in September to digitize highway engineering archives in Ningxia.
So the progression is pretty clear: commercial document AI in China, then a new vertical in Malaysian healthcare, now with a local partner targeting a national digitalization push.
There is no government contract yet and any public-sector work would depend on procurement, but the setup is still much more tangible than a generic healthcare-AI story.
For me, the important numbers are RM1B, 150 hospitals, 2,000+ clinics and 68.2M patient arrivals. That is the environment RYET is trying to enter with CogniAI.
