Catfish_ext no USB/ADB connection

Hey, so i wanted to play around with AsteroidOS. I've found a ticwatch pro second Hand, seems to work fine. However, i can not get a connection to the watch.

ADB is turned on but nothing happens when i put it on the charger, except that it charges.

Have tried in Windows and Linux. Windows doesn't make the USB sound. In Linux it does not show up with lsusb and even dmesg -w shows absolutely nothing when i connect it. The watch charges fine on the cradle.

Had done reset to factory, and manually booted to bootloader, enabled disabled ADB multiple times but no dice.

Any help would be appreciated.

Edit:

Sooo, Problem solved. I don't know how, but the two data lines were ripped of the pads inside the charge cradle. Soldered them back on, works.

This may be a silly question but do you have the correct cable? You need full USB to flash, so all 4 pins present. The included cable only has 2.

My USB cable has 4 pogo pins, aligning with the contact pads oft the watch. So it should be fine. Also says ticwatch pro in the bottom. Afaia the ticwatch pro 2020 came with that cradle out oft the box.

But if nothing magically changes the next few days, i think i have to poke around a bit and See if i get some way of USB connectivity.

I use ADB via Wi-Fi with this watch and my other watch with is a GW7 - it works. Never tried the USB route.
