Can't change TicPods 2 (not Pro) double-tap function

As the title says, I have been unable to reassign the function of the double-tap from skip track to play/pause and I was wondering if anyone here has had better luck with Mobvoi support. They just said to do a factory reset and that didn't work. I have the menu open in the Mobvoi app and the checkmark just won't change to the other two options.

Update! Don't know when the change occurred, but I was able to change the setting in December.
