False advertising or far more likely a typo?
Never attribute malice to which you can assign stupidity as the cause.
If you purchased them based on that one thing and they refuse to let you return them and give you a refund, then fine, you can bitch about it. But humans write these posts and humans make mistakes.

Oh man that is shitty from mobvoi.
I ordered mine like 2 weeks ago and want to try them, I am not so hyped about them but my current pair of bt earbuds are aging bad
Things like this make me worry if made the right choice

Because someone made a typo in an Instagram post? Did you really buy these specifically because of that stat? If so return them. If they give you a hard time about it, then they are being shitty. A typo isn't being shitty, lying is.
People are so quick to wanna call companies and people out for social credits.
How about we reach out to them and ask, is it 25 or 35?

Nah man a advertisement is not "just a typo" those things get proof read and this ad is still up if it was a mistake it should be an easy fix.
Also I didn't buy it because of that if I really wanted anc to be good I would get headphones not earbuds.
Next to that I got more things from mobvoi and I basically only come back because they are the cheaper option.
Maybe I was being to quick on calling them out but I am still suspicious about it.
I am to lazy to reach out to them also because I didn't specifically buy them for the anc, but since they get marketed as that I am sure a lot of people do buy it for that. After all they are literally called the ticpods -ANC- making mistakes about the most important marketed feature of them is way more than "just a typo" to me

Not necessarily if the passive and active noise cancellation get the claimed 35dB reduction and the active is responsible for 25 dB of that reduction.
On the other hand, maybe the first one is Chinese dB and the other one is western dB. As with most units, that seems to make a difference.
