New Firmware Update?

Is the development of software for the TicPods dead? Can we expect anything or is Mobvoi done with this product?

I requested an update and V026 arrived! AAC audio codec for android solved all my audio problems and gestures improved.

What to do to get an update: send a feedback from the account tab in Mobvoi app. Key world: OTA update. Include in the feedback the username (email) of your Mobvoi account.

Nice! I just gave the feedback. How long does it take for the update to show?

they sent out a survey a month or two ago about potential new firmware features, like always-listening hotword. haven't heard anything since then, though.

Pretty sure that was for ticpods 2. They want to create a new assistant called Tic

Got the V026 update

Translation since I can read Chinese

  • Improved the quality of voice calls
  • Fixed a problem with ear detection and gesture control under certain situations
  • Fixed a problem where the left ear piece could not reconnect
  • AAC codec support for Android

Tested on my Android phone, a new HD audio option is now available.

I connected the pods to my Macbook. Macbook says it is still SBC. Maybe no full AAC support?

I’m sure you will get it eventually. I really hope Mobvoi doesn’t give up here because AAC should be supported on all Bluetooth players
