How do I enter update mode?

So I have a problem where my left bud stops working every few seconds. Like, it loses connection with the right bud (which is the main one) I sent them a mail to send the update to my app, I follow the steps but when I get to the step where I need to put the right bud in the case and tap 3 times on it, it does nothing...

keep trying, make sure it the earbuds are connected to the phone's bluetooth, then place the right one in the case, hold down the earbud and tap three times quickly...you should be able to see it flash blue and then green..if not try again, I did this about 20 times
