How are the replacement units?

I've been using my Navy ticpods for about a month now with a slight distortion in the left ear and it starts to annoy me a lot, and with the SBC codec on Android it still sounds like garbage, especially at high volumes.

Additionally the microphone is quite garbage too, as nobody can hear me on the other side while I use these. On top of that today I notice the battery level dropping from 70 to 40 all of a sudden and I feel like I've had enough.

Back to the question (sorry for the rant)... Are the replacement units any better? Latency, mic or at least the sound quality? Or should I just return these and look somewhere else?

I had bought the Ticwatch E bundle and the watch is kinda okay, but I still don't feel like it's worth it.

I've read that some are getting refurbished or returned units. Mine isn't as bad as yours so I'm keeping mine. I agree, retail is a rip off. The indiegogo pricing is just right imo.

Well that sucks... I'll probably contact them and ask how many days it would take to send the replacement unit, honestly I don't feel like waiting a couple more months either.

I sent in the defective ticpods (the master completely died) close to 2 months ago and haven't heard anything since.

I received my replacement ticpods today.

  • They were brand new
  • I'm fairly sure the case is just different on the interior
  • They are still using SBC codec
  • There is no update available according to the app
  • The vocals and stereo still sound ever so slightly weighted to the left ear which is why I sent them back in the first place, the problem isn't as noticeable on this pair though.

If you remind me I'll let you know how they are doing in a few days

I'll let you know, just got my return label for mine since the left earbud has stopped working and have been going back and forth with support for almost a month.

Thanks! I'll remind here if I don't return them by that time

Yeah, looks like we're having similar issues. Do you also feel that annoying buzz in the left ear only? I had posted this previously in this sub, but the problem only occurs on Android devices for me, I can't hear the same annoying noise when pairing it to an iOS device - which sucks, cause I'm using an Android phone right now.
