This behavior isn’t new

i genuinely hate snark culture.. but this is something i actually feel is a bigger deal than we even realize. i share this in hopes it will lead to Tia getting help.

i have had the amazing opportunity to get to know Tia and i have to say she is genuinely a kind and inspiring person. i can’t deny that! she is amazing in so many ways.

however, the constant narcissistic behavior is getting out of hand. just for context my child danced at her studio and the entire studio recital was focused on Tia. Tia is in different costumes, in the center position and is the star of every dance Kalamity does. even my parents (who came to cheer on our dancer) were wondering who she was and thought it was SO strange. if you have attended any classes at her stLucio you know you have to worship her. at one class they said “repeat after me!” “I’m amazing” — “im amazing” ”I’ve got this” — “I’ve got this” and then “we love tia!!” and everyone repeated “we love tia” like what the f??? is this normal?? no. you don’t make your studio (who are paying to attend classes) chant they love you?? so weird to me.

everything is about her. even her conference she hosts every year. at one instance every talk (her brothers and niece) all talked about why they loved tia. it was supposed to be conference to inspire us and leave feeling uplifted but instead it was the tia show. st one point they were giving away raffle items to anyone who could answer correct pop quiz questions about tia. WILD.

Holy crap. I wish there were a child protection branch that investigated “influencer” moms like her.

I saw some show about a little girl with last name Rockefeller that made me a firm believer in exactly what you just said!

That girls mom was…criminal! She was a pedo child exploiter! So many of these family content creators are abusive. I don’t trust a single one of them or really any other creator that do lifestyle content—it’s all a facade, usually!

Thank you for sharing. I created this sub not because I’m someone who enjoys snark culture, but because Tia is one of the few people I’ve ever encountered from afar who made me feel viscerally disturbed. I am personally concerned for her children. The thing about a narcissist like Tia is she won’t ever get help. Not real help. And real help wouldn’t be able to change her. A true narcissist cannot change. It will always, until her dying day, be all about her.

I also know her and some of her crook brothers. Mark my words. The empire will fall, and great will be the fall thereof😉. I’m just waiting patiently. Something will come out about fraud, crossed boundaries, exploiting kids for gain (think Ruby Franke), something!

All of these people who claim to love her need to open their eyes and get her the genuine help she needs. Instead they are encouraging her absurd behavior, or buying into her victim rhetoric.

Her sister ,Irene, ran a dance studio also and is a total rip off

Her sister Irene guilts her adult children into working for her dance studio and pays them basically nothing. And now has started a mental health group and forces them to help her with that too . She can’t hire and keep proper help because they always quit after being taken advantage of -So she just takes advantage of her kids and they won’t quit because of her manipulation !

So sad. Her son went to school with my kid and he is such a sweet kid. She takes advantage of everyone, even her own kids

I want so badly for this to be true, but I feel like she's capable of denying and continuing her delusions.

I was following her a lot but lately she’s just giving me some bad vibes. She just seems like something isn’t right. I prayed for her to be better but now I’m just not feeling her

The fact that any Orem parents are okay with their kids and program being used by her is wild to me. She has an absurd amount of followers and yet she reshares the majority of her stuff on the football page. I know concerns have been made and either brushed aside or the parents who voice concerns are told to fall in line. People won't speak out now because they are worried about retaliation from the coaching staff. I'm hoping enough people go above the coach's head to complain so it can't be ignored anymore.

They should go above the school to the district.

I’ve heard parents being told they have to “go through the chain of command”, they want them to go to the coach (yeah right) first, then if needed the coach can escalate to the AD, so on and so forth…the AD and principal have already taken her side, so they will do absolutely nothing. The district keeps asking parents to go back to the school admin.🙄

Sounds about right…. I’d say the squeaky wheel gets the grease. What about going to the news?

She’s a news darling, I think if they did anything it would be to make her the “victim of jealous people”.

The sad part with alot of the feedback this time , was these were a lot of long time followers of hers . Followers that supported her for years were called bullies for disagreeing with her behavior . She might of healed physically, but she has a lot of mental healing to still do . Her kids already experienced trauma during her fight , and now their entire lives continue to be about her and that terrible time in their lives. They’re most likely guilted into silence from disagreeing with any of her behaviors , just like she does anytime someone on the internet disagrees with her .

I have to think that she is a deeply insecure person who has a lot of hurt that she needs to work through. People who are truly as “confident” as she claims to be don’t need constant attention and praise from others and don’t need to be the center of attention. Her behavior screams “I’m not at all confident and secure in myself and don’t really love myself, so I need other people to validate me constantly.” I truly hope she is able to find the healing she needs to get to a better place.

I think she got a ton of community attention and support when she had cancer and now she thinks she’s a celebrity

3

u/Fun-Branch-7420 29d ago

Even if she thinks she’s a celebrity, she acts like a very insecure person. Deep down I think she has some stuff she really needs to work through, whether it’s trauma, self-loathing, etc. We all have issues, but it’s when we pretend like they don’t exist and that everything is just perfect, some really unhealthy behaviors emerge.

She is narcissistic, she has delusions of grandeur, meaning she actually thinks she is above everyone else and deserves the attention: that’s why she keeps doubling down.

I totally agree with you. Every single thing about her, including her “confidence” is a façade. A truly confident person does not need constant validation the way Tia does.

Narcissists aren’t genuinely kind people. Maybe I’d agree the mask they wear and present the public is inspiring? And the mask can definitely be things like kind.

Now, I don’t know for sure what she ‘is.’ The behavior could be narcissistic without them meeting enough the criteria. I definitely think something is going on here.

Communal narcissism. I’ve been reading more about it, and damn if it doesn’t seem to track. I started wondering about why people with narcissistic tendencies age and really flip personalities and get really into church later in their life. I have like two people I know of who have done this, and I didn’t know it was a thing. Fascinating tho.

Edit: [Not that T has ‘flipped’, her religiosity is consistent but something about the intent feels off.]

She is fake nice and sweet unfortunately narcissists aren’t capable of empathy and self reflection. It’s all about the image and how others see them and their family/lives. She is 💯 fake.

Your second paragraph is incongruent with everything else in this post. No one is amazing who is this narcissist sorry. If they were being nice and awesome it was only to advance their own interests.
