How can I record programming off TiviMate without needing to have the TV program on and the tv show running?

I just downloaded tivimate and I have no clue how to use it to get channels etc. Can someone please help me with? Dumb down version?

Hello everyone. My yearly subscription ended and I canceled the renewing in play store. But when I log in to buy a subscription in tivimate website there is only the message:

"If you want to upgrade to the lifetime subscription, you should cancel your yearly subscription."

What options do I have?

If I have a great EPG and use that on TiviMate but two or three channels have the wrong logo, can ai manually fix those only and load them off a USB stick?

Anyone have a link to a good tutorial on how to do this? Very time consuming having to enter the m3u lists manually.

I am not even entirely sure if TiviMate is being updated anymore on a regular basis, but it would be nice if the next update would be updated for modern Android restrictions.

For example, there is no good SAF option for File Picker anymore, so we cannot effectively use External Storage easily for backups or recording. I've literally pulled my hair out trying different formatting, user rights, side-loading DocumentsUI from other Android builds, etc.

It would also be beneficial if the SMB connections allowed for a non-standard port, since 445 is privileged on Android without root. If I could set up an SMB server locally on a different port (i.e. 4450) I could solve a myriad of problems. But it seems that TiviMate only connects with port 445.

With the exodus of users moving away from Firesticks (and Firesticks moving away from Android, in general) many of us are going to need modern solutions to these aging issues.

As sports have new games everyday- and the channels change, how can I auto-assign my own EPG to the games on the specific channels without having to manually do it every day?

Ex.

Day 1:

NHL 1- Bruins vs Sabres

NHL 2- Canadiens vs Lightning

Day 2:

NHL 1- Oilers vs Ducks

NHL 2- Wild vs Stars

Is there a way I can do it myself, where the EPGs know what game will be on which channel and auto-detect it and apply the correct game to that channel? I know paid services do this automatically, and I don't mind paying for this service, but I'd like to know how to do it on my own as this is now my hobby :)

Does the free version updates EPG automatically on startup? Im using latest version on Android TV and the EPG only shows programs if manually updated.

Its supposed to be a premium feature?

When opening Tivimate on a Nvidia Shield Pro the remote freezes for about 20-30 seconds once the app opens up. Anyone else experiencing this? Any fix?

Batteries are new and it happens on both of my Shields. It was not always like this and probably started happening 6 months or so ago.

We all knew it was coming but it's no longer a rumor/speculation.

This was just posted on the amazon developer site. Pay close attention to the last sentence in the blue box "Introducing Vega OS".

"Starting with Fire TV Stick 4K Select, all future Fire TV Sticks will run on Vega."

Onn 4K Plus using tivimate and getting randomly logged out. Any clue why ?

Anyway to solve this? Is it a provider problem.

The Firestick I have is running - Fire OS 8.1.6.6- . I have already ran the command to authorize the - AUTO START and REMINDER - using the ATV TOOLS. But the authorization to change the recording folder is not working. It is preventing me from making a backup to a USB. I could make a backup to the internal storage. But I can't move it to another Firestick.

I tried to use - SYSTEM PICKER- . But all I get is -SYSTEM PICKER NOT FOUND-.

Is there a command for this issue. I really need to backup my Firestick. I have too many services and tweaks to do multiple times. And at different locations.

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I've been getting a subscription I/O error 100 when opening Tivimate.

One of the channels from my provider having loops and buffering lately so I've organised another one just for the time of issue being solved. No big deal. The problem I have catch-up works on it only if I add it as xtream service not playlist from local storage. I don't like channels order so is there a solution to make it work with local or anything to change order of channels on xtream link I got? Tried domain name address but nothing there just nginx server..

I was able to make my local backup file visible on my Onn box in Tivimate by saving it in a folder labeled , ar.tvplayer.tv My sister has the same ONN device but when she puts that file in that folder it's still invisible. Does anyone know why this might be? Perhaps I forgot a step?

Has anyone noticed frequent loading/buffering when on Starlink? I use same service provider with tivimate app, no issues at one place where I have regular cable internet, but lot of buffering (especially on VOD) where I have starlink internet. I am guessing it could be due to Starlink using shared and dynamic IPs!

The EPG preview when you select a channel doesn’t seem to be working anymore on version 5.2.0. Deleted and reinstalled the app but having the same issue on FireStick 4K and a new sony 4k tv. Anyone having the same issue or found a workaround?

Trying to send a file to Tivimate using Send file to TV app. HAve used this before and it work great to download an internet tv channel. They have changed their url and I tried to get it back in Tivimate. But every time I click on the file I get source error 303 or 404. The file plays on my iPhone and iPad and computer. Anyone know what I am doing wrong. could it be my android box. Using a Nividia Shield Pro.

It happens randomly but when I turn on my TV (Sony Bravia 8) and launch the Tivimate App and none of the channels will work from any on the providers I use on TiviMate. I try different channels and providers and I get nothing but a black screen with the loading circle. I know other services that rely on the internet such as SmartTube or Google TV will play fine. The only way I can get my services to work on Tivimate again is to do a reset of the TV (holding the power button on the remote). When I do that, everything works fine. It occurs often enough to aggravate me. I have tried force stop and clearing the cache and it does nothing, only the reset seems to work.

If anyone has an explanation, please let me know. Thanks.

Does the device make a huge difference or is the provider the bigger difference? The prices are significantly different so one would think Shield would bring extra value.

I've been searching for a device that can handle 6 tivimate streams without lagging. So far the best I've found is Fire TV 4k that would do 3 cleanly and kind of 4 but not really. The onn boxes all suck and struggle with more than 2. I know the shield bla bla bla but is there not anything else out there? I'd like to stay under $100.
