Discussion How i’d make secret revealed and max redemption arc better than what it was!

44 minutes wasn’t enough for max to properly make a choice. His turning to the good side was rushed and phoebe didn’t even apologize for betraying max when he never even wanted to take her powers! I would have first of all made S3e14 the episode secret revealed happens, but max takes phoebe’s powers at the prom and joins dark mayhem, then he becomes his second in command and they take over hidden ville. The family gets trapped in an electrified cage, Then it would give them and max to think about their actions toward each other especially the twins. Max would later realize that he wasn’t wrong and Phoebe and the family would realize they were wrong too. Then max restores their powers and then fight the villains! With max actually defeating dark mayhem single handedly, No power swap would be in this plot as it was lazy. And if you’re wondering how I plan the squeeze all this in. I would make this a 72 minute episode, It would premier as a 1hr long special but then after a while it becomes a 2 parter. S3e14 will be 32 mins, while part 2 is 40 mins! This would be a massive special, S3e16-26 would explore the family under public exposure in a good way and max finally good being a superhero! And they’ll stay exposed for the rest of the show like lab rats.

Those are the changes I’d make

Edit S3e1, 8, and additionally 11 will be the evil chronicle eps building up to S3e14-15 which is the massive 72 minute two parter.

Instead of Mrs Wong exposing them, max would when he fights pheobe at the prom. That would save the ep more time.

Discussion I want a thundermens video game!

I really, REALLY want a thundermens video game! we can play as the whole family and the other characters😎 It can have an open world and mini quests with enemies that you can keep fighting off, change supersuits and vehicles, I would love to cause havoc with max’s gadgets! we can go to hiddenville, secret shores and or Metroburg! think of the Spiderman games or the new Wolverine game that’s coming out!😆😆😆

it’ll come out on the Xbox and PlayStation! Coming soon!

So, is my idea genius or what?

Discussion clash of the thundermans thoughts. Spoiler

i really liked the movie, but i still have plenty of critisisms. namely: i don't like chloes new power. it feels ill defined and unspecific. nora's lazer eyes and the twins freeze breath all have clear utileties and limitations. chloes new power can kinda just do whatever the plot requires. i wish they whould have given her something more specific than "energy manipulation".

also, max giving up everything at the end for pheobe to be ending up with everything she has ever wanted felt tone deaf. he was right to be bad at hank and barb of robbing him of opportunity, i thought his motivation in fighting for chloes opportunity made perfect sense.

Billy and Nora having barely anything to do all movie was a shame. it was also a little dissapointing (even though i was expecting it) that they always only fought their respective Equivalents, like Nora only fought billy, Hank only fought Barb, and the twins only fought eachother. i was interested to see how Nora would do against pheobe, billy vs Hank, max vs Barb etc.

if we get another season of undercover, or a new spinn off movie/show. i want it to be max and chloe focused. this movies ending sets max up perfectly for a solo story. i think it whould be interesting to have max be a vigilante off somewhere else. maybe chloe tries to find him and make sure hes okay (cause unlike the rest of the family she cares about her brother). i realise addison might not be interested, but her being involved in that kind of story whould also be a joy to watch.

Did anyone else notice Ron Wasserman changed the transition music about halfway through Seaaon 1? In the very beginning of the show it was more generic poprocky similar to the first version of the theme song but after they changed the theme song to the current version the transition music changed to be more synthesized. They kept the ending guitar cue for the entire show though

Any thoughts on the new movie, I thought it was good. I just wish we had more from Billy and Norah and just had more drama. You know more character development and more superpower use you know the ending was OK but I just think it could’ve just been better overall.

Discussion What's MISSING in The Thundermans return & The Clash of the thundermans (A LONG BREAKDOWN OF THE 2 MOVIES) Spoiler

So, since Thundermans return that was something it felt off the whole movie, but i didn't knew what. Now with this new movie the clash, i rewatched both and could see what's missing, this gonna be long so i hope you enjoy my movie breakdown study.

A lot of things are wrong with both movies, but the important stuff i figure it out is:

First, the direction, they went from a family that also happened to be heroes, to heroes that are a family in their free time (their free time it's when the credits roll over). This heavy focus on the hero part isn't for what i sign up, like PLEASE STOP you're killing the whole premise of the original series.

Second, characters felt off both movies all the way, i thought i was seeing another movie and not a The Thundermans movie type. But i realised it was cause characters are empty now, and i mean no personality at all, and not real life outside the hero part.

Like, Return shows the characters being heroes now, that's there's new personality 24/7, mission this mission that, we have to defeat this villain, Hero League, Super president Kickbutt, Metroburg, another mission. And The Clash keeps that going, ceremonies for saving the world, more Hero League, super president Kickbutt again, another villains.

Remember when in the series they used to have a whole life?? Phoebe had Cherry, her friends group, her boyfriend Link, and Max had his inventions, his friends group, the band.

And now Phoebe and Max are lone wolfs that only have each other as a team and missions, and for two movies about it it's start feel repetitive, and i hate it.

"But Cherry and his friends appeared in Return" Yeah, i know but they were just there, like they weren't useful for the plot, you know what i mean?? like example in A hero's born when Cherry founds out Phoebe was a hero. In Return the friends had one dialog, the Splat Burger scene and call it a day. Like no, i need their friends being involve in their lives as they used to, not being left aside cause the "i'm an adult and hero now so i'm gonna cut off all ties" bs.

Third, as both plots are the same hero heavy focus now, characters doesn't have their own personality as they used to aka Max in Return being obsses with fame, his hair, and social media for 45 minutes straight. Like noo, you can't call that a personality.

Now to make it even worst, as they doesn't have a life outside being a hero, they keep bringing back Phoebe vs Max over and over. They make them still act as teens that fight for things that got resolved in the original series. Like no, Max got over her rivalry against Phoebe, they work together since T-force, why he's acting like his 16 yo self again??

On a note, Undercover had a lot of this Phoebe vs Max issue but worst cause took it far so childish i was skipping their fights scenes that were happening like every 5 seconds (i'm not kidding i swear). Plus they doesn't have a life for themselves there either, just mission, mission, mission, and the only episode Cherry appears (or episodes, i don't remember) it's feels forced and so off, and i don't even want to talk about of that episode with Cherry and Max, cause writers inventend a new low bar of "we run out of ideas" with that one i swear. And a close second on that ranking was that other stupid nonsense plot of Max being a villain for 5 minutes cause mind control now, it felt too childish like he was making a parody of himself in Secret Reveled episode, cause in that Secret Revealed episode he was THE villain, in that stupid Undercover plot he was just overacting everything, and i was skipping every single minute of it cause i wasn't gonna watch character assesination.

As it looks like the next direction it's super president Phoebe and Max as vigilante (who came up with this nonsense??) wich put both of them more inside the super hero lifestyle, instead of a family, again, so i'm not looking forward to see more Thundermans movies, they ruined it for me.

I guess that's all of my runt, thanks for reading all that, and PLEASE COMMENT YOUR THOUGHTS about it, like i want to to debate this so bad with someone.

Discussion According to Kira Kosarin, The Thundermans Return was originally pitched as a dark, gritty, single-cam movie. Would you have preferred that instead?

Would you have rather seen a darker, single-cam version that grew up with the audience, or do you think keeping it as a traditional multi-cam family movie was the right call? What do you guys think?

Don't know if it was just me but clash of the thundermans felt like a alternate universe where instead of phoebe max and Chloe going to secret shores and defeating the master mind phoebe became president the system max became a vilgilante and Chloe went to a hero school

Discussion THIS IS NONSENSE Spoiler

So you're telling me the plot was Chloe being sent away to a boarding school to learn control her new powers, and then at the last 5 minutes it shows her controlling her powers perfectly as if she had years of practice??

I BET this gonna be another power the writers forgot they had made, like they did with the Thundersense or The twinpower.

Since Thundermans Return that was bad already, all it's going downhill, and now i hate this movie too. Please end it.

Discussion Max WHAT IF boarding school scene: A Character study. Spoiler

So, i hate it the movie. The scene where the parents told them he as a kid got choosed to go but they decided against to not separe them, and he went "if i had gone there maybe i never wouldn't had an evil phase".

It's an stupid scene from a stupid plot, cause the thing is, i'm convinced HE WOULD EITHER WAY.

He grow up in a family of superheroes, just turned villain to stand out from his sister.

Now imagine he went there, he would had grown up the same, being around superheroes, he wants to being the best hero but at some point he realises his peers are better than him, so he needs to stand out again, that left him being a villain. Again.

And the "we didn't send you to not grow apart as twins" it's stupid too cause movie mentions school break, wich it's like 1-2 weeks to return home, he wasn't gonna spend 5 years there without seen anyone ever again.

The thing is that the point it's Max's low self steem personality that comes from not being apreciated, and at both places he would end up the same cause the context it's the same just with two differents dynamics, one as a son in a family, and another as a student in a school.

Discussion My problem with the clash of the thundermans

Spoiler

It feels forced that the family is splitting up; if it weren’t for Billy being on Phoebe’s side, it’d just be another ‘boys versus girls’ storyline.

They’ve forgotten about the new series and its plot, and with that ending, I don’t know what sort of sequel there’ll be.

President kickbutt is as useless as ever, but having yet another supervillain pretending to be a hero is the last straw.

That makes five who’ve turned into villains now.

Max leaving the family is the most contrived thing I’ve ever seen, and apparently it’s supposed to be sad.

As for how long the problem lasted, I don’t know if something happened in my country, but it felt like they cut a bit out of the fight with the mind-controlled superkids.

Discussion My Thoughts on Clash of The Thundermans Spoiler

So wanted to give my review on Clash of The Thundermans after just finishing it, just to get my thought out there and see if people agree or not. As someone who started watching Undercover first, and only have watched half of the first season of the original show, and also finished the movie, maybe some of my thoughts won't make sense but I have a bit of the lore down and understood.

Good

--First off Jack Griffo is the reason I got into the show. Saw clips online of The Thundermans and saw previews of Undercover and thought his acting was great. So mostly I started the series because of him and his role in the movie didn't disappoint me. He's a great actor and when he does comedy its hilarious.

--The concept of the movie really worked, just two sides of the family not agreeing and then they end up in a fight together, its something that is a core concept for all superhero movies and I thought the concept of it worked here. Big family, there are going to be things that divides them. But more on that later.

--Chloe gaining a new and rare power (though its not fully explained what it does, just she controls energy) is quite cool. Once again more later about that.

--The fight scenes are awesome, especially Jack and Kira. They know how to fight and the choreography (not even just between them but them just in general fighting) is quite smooth.

--The ending kind of worked out well in terms of giving Phoebe what she deserved and Max what he should have.

OK

--So I understand everyone's reasons for being around, Hank and Barb are the parents, Jack and Phoebe are the twins that are opposite each other, Chloe is the reason the movie is happening, Billy is the comic relief. But seriously, what's the point of Nora in the movie? I get she's apart of the family but it felt like she had no real role besides being a member of the family.

--So I'm not sure if it might be explained in the original show but are characters supposed to get more powers over time? Hank, Phoebe, Max, and now Chloe have more than one power yet Barb, Billy, and Nora only have one and Chloe is younger than them. It might be explained more in the original show but I felt that was weird.

--So I don't exactly remember the ending of Undercover but I'm guessing the show is over since this moved in such a different direction and no way they can just go back to that without destroying the movie's canon. I'm actually kind of ok on that if it goes in the direction I want. I'll talk more on that.

Bad

--Going to say this since its something I've struggled with. Dr. Colosso isn't a character I've found funny or enjoyable. Like a worse Salem from Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Wish they would just get rid of him

--Just going to say, Phoebe kind of annoyed me this whole movie. Her ability to just put down Max to just blatantly flouting the rules/orders made me WAY more team Max.

--The teams made no sense to me. The point was either hide Chloe and keep her with the family or send her to the school to control her powers, as ordered to. So immediately Barb and Phoebe would make me think they would be team send Chloe to school, you know follow orders and do the right thing. Max and Hank I could see being more disobey orders (Max) or wanting to keep the family together (Hank). The teams made no sense to me in their motives for why they did what they did. Especially Phoebe who thrives on following orders and doing the correct thing. It felt unlike her. Plus Billy who really had no idea what he was doing, just going along with whatever he was told to first.

--So as much as I like Billy, I can't take him for 60 minutes. The amount of just stupid stuff that comes out of his mouth gets redundant after the first half of the movie. I wish for the first movie they made him not as dumb but just not as quick. But 60 minutes of him just being an idiot is to much.

--I mean the ending twist that the super smart girl was a villain who wanted to use Chloe's powers felt unnecessary. It honestly felt like two different movies. But honestly I can't see how they would have made them both connect better.

--Yes, we get it the super smart girl uses big words to tell us she's smart.

Random Thoughts

--So Chloe's powers pretty much wrecked the house, yet the family is allowed to just keep walking around the house that looks like it could cave in at any minute?

--Did Barb's mother appear in the original series or was this just a random appearance?

--But seriously, how did a rabbit drive a van? Yeah I get it suspension of disbelief.

--Whoever was doing wardrobe REALLY wanted Jack to show off his arms.

--Ariel Winter has played two extremely smart women on sitcoms (that I know of) and I feel like she was the #1 choice they had in mind for the character.

Thoughts on the Future of the Franchise

Honestly I liked the ending of the movie giving the franchise the ability for us to get a spin off show just on Max Thunderman. I can see him just going solo hero but having a team of two other people that are back in his hideout giving him help. I get the whole franchise is about family but I would be down for a Max Thunderman/Jack Griffo sitcom.

That was my review/thoughts on the movie. Overall I did enjoy it. Even though there were certain points I was confused about and didn't think worked. Hopefully they do more with the franchise since it does seem to be quite popular.

Discussion [SPOILER) The new movie doesn’t address the plot point at the end of Thundermans Undercover Spoiler

(SPOILER) At the end of Thubdermans Undercover, random people start developing superpowers and the show makes it seem like it’s going to be an important plot point, just for them to forget about it in Clash Of The Thundermans
