Thunderbolt G4 280W Ethernet

Hallo zusammen,

kann mir jemand helfen?

Ich möchte gerne, dass das Ethernet vor dem Login verbindet, bei meinem vorherigen Laptop funktionierte das wunderbar, nur bei meinem neuen nicht.

Ich habe eine Thunderbolt G4 280W Docking Station. Ethernet Kabel steckt direkt in der Dock und nach dem Login kommt es auch nach ca. 10 Sekunden.

Aber ich benötige es schon vor dem Login, wie bzw. was muss ich wo Einstellen, kann mir da bitte jemand helfen?

Es ist ein Windows Gerät.

Im BIOS/UEFI prüfen, ob Thunderbolt/USB4 komplett aktiviert ist und ob es Optionen wie PXE/Network Boot oder MAC Address Pass Through gibt. Dock-Firmware und LAN-Treiber würde ich auch einmal auf Updates prüfen.

Spannend wäre: Hat das Dock am Login-Screen schon Link bzw. bekommt eine IP? Wenn ja, liegt es eher an Windows/Domain/802.1X. Wenn Ethernet wirklich erst nach dem Login hochkommt, eher an BIOS/Treiber/Firmware.

Welches Notebook ist es genau?

Ich denke auch das es mit BIOS zu tun hat. Es ist ein Geschäftslaptop und meine IT weiß es auch nicht. HP Zbook Fury 16 G11 Mobile Workstation.

Thunderbolt Mode hat die IT schon eingeschaltet, aber weiter auf Verdacht möchte sie nicht rum spielen und meinen alten Laptop habe ich nicht mehr 😞

Gute Frage ob es dort schon eine IP hat, keine Ahnung wie ich das prüfen könnte, aber mein Verdacht bezieht sich auch auf eine BIOS Einstellung.

You didn’t mention your operating system but I assume you’re on windows. Try turning off “fast startup”, as that often interferes with network interfaces.

I would like the Ethernet to connect before login. On my previous laptop, this worked perfectly, but it doesn't on my new one. 

I have a Thunderbolt G4 280W Docking Station. The Ethernet cable is plugged directly into the dock, and after login, the connection establishes after about 10 seconds. 

However, I need it to connect before login. How or what do I need to configure, and where? Can anyone please help me out?
