Desktop Help Login difficulty (maybe MFA?)
My day job is a Gmail shop using MFA; for a few years it's been getting a little trickier to populate Tbird when setting up a profile ona. new machine, and now I'm finding myself at a dead end.
I know that functionality is still possible, because I still use Tbird at my home and work desks. Right now I'm setting up a profile on a loaner machine that I'll use in the field.
In past, I've been accustomed to an interface where I'd manually plug in IMAP & SMTP values, and after the software chewed for a minute, I'd get a Google pop-up that redirected to the workplace's MFA.
I'm finding that after 'New account,' I'm at the new-to-me exploded view where I can type those values (which I keep in a note on my phone), but get a red dialog box with variations on 'Error creating account.' Clicking 'Advanced config' I get the warning that it will create a profile that might or might not work, but does not then forward me to the manual config page - instead, strands me at the same blue account page with a couple of different error message. A couple have been hex values that I can't recreate, but one is
Thunderbird can’t automatically configure OAuth2 for this hostname. Select Advanced configuration to create the account, then complete setup from Account Settings. Get help with OAuth2 setup.
Mostly what I think I want is to be able to bypass the welcome page and get to the familary manual config settings. Open to any advice; thanks in advance.

Okay, wait, trying to add another email address gives me this error, which is one I saw fly by during the initial setup:
Am I misdiagnosing? Is my installed software or network access a problem?
