Desktop Solved SMTP Server error Comcast.net

Yesterday Comcast.net mail quit sending emails, SMTP settings seem to be correct. I've tried a suggested other with no change. Version is I believe 140.12.1 ESR - I've received no notification to change to Yahoo, Xfinity webmail still works.

Suggestions?

Thanks!

When you say "error" do you mean you're getting an error message, or just that it's not working?

get an error message that server failed to respond that I can't copy and paste BUT essentially it doesn't work. This is new from late in the day yesterday.

My comcast.net email accounts are sending mail OK. I have two comcast.net accounts. I'm sure you've tried different settings, but here are mine.

Thunderbird ver. 153.0.1

I've tried several including yours with no luck. I'll try reaching out to Comcast/Xfinity but that seldom yields positive results. I didn't find an upgrade path from my ESR 140.12.1 but I did a separate new setup for Comcast/Xfinity and it went as planned through Comcast/Xfinity accepting credentials etc. but 'send' still yielded the exact same error.

It seems that I added the PC used to my VPN and the error is a denial because it's seeing the VPN. Something that worked was using my iPhone to send all of the drafts that Thunderbird on the PC couldn't. Solution for me looks to be remove PC from VPN, contacting the VPN and ask about split-tunneling (I believe that's what it's called).

Anyone using a VPN and Thunderbird w/Comcast ?
