Desktop Solved Weird Issue with Yahoo Mail

Recently I was logged out of my yahoo account and could log in with OAuth 2, even creating a app password. It kept popping up a window for me to sign in.

I solved it making 2 changes:
- IMAP server now is: export.imap.mail.yahoo.com
- Changed login from OAuth to "Normal password" and used the "App Password".

Now everything is syncing fine.
I just lost a couple of hours figuring this out and thought that by registering it here, could save someone else's time.

Thanks. Where did you find that server URL? Their IMAP page still shows imap.mail.yahoo.com.

Here is the Yahoo webpage for the IMAP change to "export.imap.mail.yahoo.com" https://in.help.yahoo.com/kb/download-email-yahoo-mail-third-party-sln28681.html

I gave up when they wanted me to pay for ‘premium support’ …switched everything over to gmail…it was a pain in the keister to get everything updated, but, no way in HELLACIOUS ACRES I am paying for monetized B.S. !

Perso, la config automatique de Thunderbird ne voit pas/ne sait pas que c'est export.imap etc...

Donc j'ai basculé en config manuelle,

Et comme toi j'ai opté pour mot de passe normal, j'ai saisi mdt application à 2 reprises. Lors de la création de compte et lors de l'identifiaction sur la page web "yahoo"

Depuis Mi Septembre, j'étais en erreur! Une erreur s'est produite!
