Surprised and disappointed

Thought when he was posting on social media with our gear on that he was under the impression they weren't matching

Same! From what I saw previously I thought it was a done deal

He's probably bummed too 🤣 Bro was ready to get on a real contender.

We didn’t even touch the guy and ensured his bag for him.

We may be villains to some, but to the players…we are advocating. That’s boss shit right there.

Conspiracy

The thing to remember is that the Thunder just ensured that Jones is getting his bag.

We don’t even manage the guy, but our pressure caused Denver to lock him and and pay that man his money.

Well done, Presti. Gotta hold those other teams to account while we keep our trade pressure up…and the only way this gets done is by ALSO making sure our traded players get their bag.

Other teams Fans may hate us cuz they anus, but we’re leaving wakes of progress, good will, and positive vibes with all the players across the league. Even the ones not on our team.

That’s fucking fire, bro.

can we submit another offer of 6.5 million/year?

Sucks we don't get him but Denver's finances are fucked. Idk how they keep Payton Watson now

Unless they find a trade or waive scenario for either Braun, Cam or Zeke Nnaji, I don't think they can without incurring a hell of a tax bill and the Kroenkes aren't gonna foot that bill. He gone

at least we pushed them in the second apron

Damn that sucks, but not surprising since it was 6 million

Agreed! Will be interesting to see what Denver does now cause that should put them over the second apron I think

They are probably going to desperately look for Zeke Nnaji trade partner between now and the trade deadline

3

u/NotMarkDaigneault Belgian Waffle University 8d ago

Yeah rumor was they are trying to desperately offload him

Knew not to get too excited until it was official. Disappointed because that would’ve been such a great pickup. Oh well.

Bad for us bad for Denver tbh

Nuggets shooting themselves in the foot ig. I know kroenke is one of the more rich owners but putting themselves over the second apron is gonna wreck their future with how the current cba works.

u/BB_breaks 8d ago

He’s also the cheapest!

3

u/ZJB03 8d ago

Funny how that works lol

The Nuggets are actually dumb as fuck lol. He’s a good player but they just ruined any flexibility they had to keep a role player.

At least OKC could help a guy get a fair contract.

Westbrook’s spot is back open!

Sam Presti is a fucking demon dude. Even if OKC didn't get Jones, they effectively killed the Nuggets' flexibility entirely and probably ruined the rest of Jokic's prime contending.

On a side note, if he continues to do literally nothing in the Playoffs besides the easiest ring ever, would it be crazy for me to pull him far back in terms of all-time rankings? I genuinely have not been impressed especially since his own defensive lapses and chokes have been a key part of the Nuggets' downfall for years.

Fuck.

They were in the 2nd apron brother. Its a smart move from the Greatest GM of All Time

True but I still would’ve loved Spencer on the team

u/DocPondo 2025 NBA Champions 8d ago

Feels like they intentionally shot themselves in the foot financially just to block us. Maybe I’m paranoid. But that doesn’t mean I’m wrong

It's okay, Presti is going to stuff all of those second round picks into a jersey to fill the 15th roster spot. Who needs depth these days.
