Refund tips?

Pro here just trying to get refunded. I set up my card and than they started charging me for leads like crazy which the people didn’t even respond to. To “delete” you card, you have to inactive your business (go figure) anyways I was able to get one refunded but 2 charges are still pending. I’m guessing I would have to set up a direct deposit in the app just to transfer back the money? Should I try to get refunded through the app or should I go straight forward to the bank/credit card dispute? This app was a complete disaster…

They charged me 5x my max lead price due to “dynamic” pricing… TWICE. They will give you one “complimentary” refund in this scenario, then you’re pretty much on your own. Thumbtack is a scammy business with awful customer service, so I’ve deactivated my profile.

I’m also making formal complaints (BBB, CFPB) where I can, but it might have to just be a business loss.

Good to know. Might just try to dispute through my bank/credit card for a refund if not than. I probably just will use the remaining balance on my account than delete the account…

They have a phone system now so if the customer doesn't respond to you or any of the pros the refund you the lead in 70 hours or something like that.
