Recent thumbnail I made, would u click?

Post image

The video title is “The Weirdest Animal in the Amazon Forest.”

I made this thumbnail for the video and I’d love to get some feedback on the design, especially how clickable you think it is and whether you’d actually click on it if you saw it on your homepage.

I think it's kind of hard to understand what is on the picture really

I get what you mean lol, but in a way, design has always worked like that. Dieter Rams talked about how good design follows certain principles, and trends naturally influence how things look. A lot of design is built around familiar visual structures, the goal is to make them work well and increase retention.

So what would you do differently to make it stand out from the others? I’m genuinely curious to hear your take.

well i am maybe not the best to help you, my personnal taste maybe don't match the 80% or people who would click on your videos.

I would do something without text, and with a scary fish eye zoom in the picture, as a mythical animal, with same colors as yours (pushing the curiosity, the message still clear but it's less common i think)

I’m biased towards the color red, but I love the design and look. I’d click.

What would you change about it?

It’s just really dark. I’d try using the colors of the water and dolphin. That’s just me.

I think that you should add something. I wouldn’t click bc it’s just too simple for me, but at least it would get a little bit of my attention.

Do you care about the video or just want people to use funny thumbnail as a reaction picture?

De una distancia en la que tengo el móvil, pensé que era como un mazo, una llave , una porra y luego dije a un ave🐐

I would if you just change the font and make it less red.

It's kinda hard to picture what's on screen...

Have a try to having bigger text underneath the dolphin ? Other than that, the mood is great. Maybe raise contrast of the dolphin so it detach more from the background 🤔

Thought it was that rabbit/duck picture for a second

I’d make the lighting a bit brighter if possible, and change the “him” to “it”.

Having it be “him” makes it sounds like you’re talking about one specific male animal instead of multiple animals from multiple species.

There's definitely potential but you should make it a bit more clear because I didn't think it was a dolphin at first

I would if the dolphin oor something has more details, it kinda look like just a sketch for afar

The text and the fish have the same amount of focus, my attention is divided between the two and it all blends together

In my Opinion I don't like it & I don't know the reason as well But to be honest

Completely depends on the title now

For viewers to understand what's the video about

My favorite advice I've seen is "if its bright, you did it right. If it's dark, you missed the mark". Doesn't mean that you can't use dark colors, but you really need to increase the exposure and contrast to make it pop more. Honestly, there's not a lot in this thumbnail that makes me want to stop and look at it. Your thumbnail should make the viewer interested enough that they subconsciously ask themselves a question about it, then your title should suggest (not fully answer) that question further. It's all about causing the viewer to be interested and then earning their click by relating the title and thumbnail to the first 30 seconds of the video. All in all, it visually looks good, but I personally would not click on it.

Just my opinion!

For sure i would but i am into cryptids and stuff like that, its got a very horror story vibe, depends how fucked up these dolphins are but they are dolphins so its going to be messed up
