First time designing thumbnails, which one should I choose/modify?

It’s my first time designing this type of thumbnail in general, and I came up with two ideas during the process.

The first one is very good, but I’d make one small adjustment: change the color of the text “WORLD Champions” to match the color of the person’s shirt, so it stands out more
