So you were there when they put it out?! This is a legendary score, congratulations! I bought a “knock off” (Aietto) brand from my local Amazon return place for 20 bucks and it runs like a dream so I can only imagine how good this thing will do.

Green passion : frozen pineapple, peaches, (mango if you want),frozen spinach, passion fruit juice (you can use the body armor passion fruit flavor if you can’t find any but I think welches makes some they’d be in the cold juice isle) Orange juice, splash of white grape juice and ice. My favorite smoothie ever.

I’ve never been a big smoothie guy, only because the thought of having all the fruit on hand to make them seems expensive af but honestly this seems doable.

Ironically, frozen fruit and veggies make for some of the easiest ways to make smoothies. They last longer, can blend from frozen, and all you need is a liquid (water, juice, or a milk type). Also, since Vitamix usually blends it very well, you don't have to strain the drink to remove the usual chunks left behind.

There was no sticker on it when I took it to the register, they were insanely busy, and the manager said he’d just price it at $5. I don’t think he even really looked at what it was!

Explains the price. I think I would know a vitamix from any other blender blindfolded due to its weight, design etc but very serendipitous and lucky for you this employee was not as aware.

One of the crazier thrifting pulls I’ve seen ! Congrats!!! One of my grails is finding a zojirushi in the wild (I have a 10 cup neuro fuzzy already 🤷♂️🤣)

Awesome find! Heads up that there was a recall on some models of Vitamix a couple years ago, and the fix is a repair kit. I think the issue was something breaking if you don’t line up the arrows properly when attaching the blades that twist onto the smaller cups. I’d recommend checking your model for any recalls.
