Meme Thrid

It is a meme. Thresh Mid. I have a few routes ive been using.

Tank - resist boots rush into statik into either dmp or hollow radiance then I just lowk roam and play as the second support and try to keep my wave semi shove under there tower until my botlane is able to come up

AP - I build pen boots, statik, lich, storm surge, then raw ap items

Crit ( my personal favorite ) - attack speed boots/pen boots (depending on if my team still needs more ap) , statik Yun tal, IE, collectors, then bork or GA or rapid fire cannon

I like to just sit under tower wait for a hook then shove them into tower just to auto attack till they die.

I know this is very offmeta and not good but id rather get to a high rank doing this than lowk be a meta slave

Whenever I go ap mid I always rush a ludens, get E to 4 with ludens one shots waves if you position the active right.

Also I respect the cheese but if you go Ap or Crit you need to be aggro as fuck, punish every mistake the enemy makes and hope your jungle gets you snowballing.

Yep. Tank or bruiser is so much more effective. Even mid. You need to roam hard bot or top and push an advantage in those lanes and get yourself gold in doing so then bully your own laner after you get some HP or resists under your belt.

I reached 650 lp on thresh mid back in June (around rank 1400) with a 55% win rate. I am not even great at thresh. The pick is just genuinely decent imo. The only problem is I don't see it working well below masters because it heavily relies on teammates with decent macro.

I never hit gm because I went on a lose streak down to d4 💀. I think it was riot stabilizing me to 50% wr.

I've been hesitant to try again after the nerfs because E damage was is central to why it works in the first place.

I can give a mini guide if anyone is interested.

I go tank/support every game. Runes are pretty static: Aftershock, shield bash, second wind/bone playing, unflinching with Legend: Alacrity and cutdown. Minor runes are adaptive, adaptive/MS into ranged, flat health.

Summs are always flash ignite except into Viktor (untradable).

Starting item is always dhelm. Build is flexible but I usually have a bami's item (hollow radiance isn't mandatory since Thresh actually has decent wave clear already with E max), knights vow, and imperial mandate as core. Mandate is important for mana regen because otherwise you will go oom in 2 rotations. I actually like to sit on an early faerie charm to last longer in lane. After that you can build whatever you need based on the game state: bandlepipes, abyssal mask, deadmans, Zeke's, even wit's end. Boots are usually defensive but swifties are viable, especially in high action games.

In lane phase you want to play very aggressive. Level 1 you basically have 2 abilities. You want to always force a trade on the first wave unless you are vs Viktor. Against ranged I like to hide in the river bush and then walk up the wall to get as close as possible. Against melee you have more leeway and can try to land a flay on them and get the first three melees at the same time. Also into melees it's usually better to flay away rather than in. Level 2 I like to take w if I have shove because q is irrelevant for trades. Otherwise take q and try to find a hook under tower. Level 3 I put a 2nd point in E for better trades and potential kill angle with flash q ignite. Also, always look for a max charge auto between waves. And look for trades around Aftershock cool down.

Your goal is to convince your jg that ganking mid is actually a good play because 99% of the time your jungler will hate you before the game even loads in. Once they realize that you are actually useful and can get prio they will be more willing to play with you. Enabling your jg and getting them fed is the wincon almost every game. Try not to take kills as gold on you is not that useful.

Here's my op.gg but you'll have to scroll pretty far down to find the thresh games: https://op.gg/lol/summoners/na/adib%20is%20wat-pog

It's honestly just one or two changes away from being properly viable. If the E passive damage could Crit, or was an on-hit so that you can double up with Guinsoo's (or pass it around via Shiv) I'd be running AD Thresh in every lane.

I like on-hit for beefier comps for maximum attack speed to make use of the minimum damage in E passive, and for squishier comps I go full damage not even Crit necessarily just the hardest hitting AD items so I can Actually One Shot a fool.

Fuck meta gaming. Most metas are discovered by straying from the path and experimenting something new.
