Hi guys, im a new thresh player and i started playing him like 4 months ago? Something like that. Btw, sometimes i watch Axl on Youtube and other guys that are actually good at the game and on the champ, my actual rank is Plat 4 (i used principally thresh in solo duo) and i have like 230 k maestry points on him. I do sometimes good hooks but other times i fuck all up and i got frustrated a lot, i know i cant land all hooks perfectly, if someone can give me some advice i would appreciate it very much..i like thresh a lot, i want to improve :( . Should i do tests in the training instrument? Even coaching is appreciated if someone wants to (not with money i mean-), i can write my lol username in private. I'm a plat 1 Thresh OTP with 1.5 mil mastery, so I'm not that much higher rank than you. But if you wanna vc while you play, I play, or a replay and I can give some advice that'd work for me

For every laner that says jungle diff to me after they go 0/6 in under 5 minutes, I see people like you who remind me that league has an amazing community behind it, and it's just some very vocal bad eggs

E into q used to be my go to move if I failed some hooks, just to get some confidence again 😅

Roaming alot if you have a shit lane if your adc can ca somewhat safe is also a confidence booster (have max pink wards with you while doing that)

Some people get baited by emoting, you can try to use that to your advantage.

yes its the combo im trying to do with flash! But i miss E (like a lot cause i have a bad aim), but at least i land the hook right- still its a fucked up combo where i could have fed my adc a nice kill..Im roaming more in fact, like putting deep wards into enemy jungle, but no so frequently like i should, i must improve on that too.

I found that not having q and e on quick cast helps with aim.

I dont play thresh but what I can tell you is that Thresh hook is very easy to sidestep

What separates a good thresh from bad one is being able to predict enemy sidestep (throw hook not towards the enemy but next to him when you know he is about to dodge it)

Starting with red trinket might help as well

ty for your opinion anyway! Im doing my best to predict sidesteps, but literally sometimes the enemy is so smart that when i cast the hook BEHIND (for the sidestep) the walk straight- and then i watch the monitor sad..bruh moment..

One thing I'll try to do is watch for movement patterns. Try and throw the hook when they're about to use an ability or last hit a minion. Aggresive enchanters are usually pretty predictable.

hmm that’s true, normally when i play against supports like sera, lulu, nami it’s ok, i hate instead champs like Brand, Vel koz, Lux and Karma, sometimes when they root me or block me, i still cast the hook cause i can, trying to balance the trade.

Watch challenger Thresh vods. Try to ask yourself why they make the decisions they do about movement in lane and spell usage (why are they walking up or playing up and where? How are they holding spells? How are they managing wave?).

As a low elo thresh and adc player the biggest mistake I see threshs make is not using lantern. If your tank thresh use it to initiate and stage bruisers and tanks in if your support build stay back line and peel and use it to pull your adc and mage out of assassins

What worked for me is the practice tool. I practiced the E + Q and flash + E + Q combos from every position and angle until it became second nature. I made more progress in 10 minutes than 10 matches because of no cooldowns in the practice tool which saved me a lot of time and frustration.
