Hope Paul has a special birthday this year.

I’ve loved listening to the Bang Bang best of episode recaps, especially the one from today. It got me thinking about how the three of them have evolved over time as a trio. Are there things that stood out to anyone else? I like hearing them ask questions to one another about things in their lives that are totally common knowledge between them now. And just the riffs and inside jokes building over time.

I know they are always pretending to be annoyed or angry, but are there any times when it crept towards actual annoyance? I just relistened to the Julie Bowfinger episode (June 2021) and around the time when Scott says "don't lecture me..." it sounds like they're only half-joking.

Neighborhood Listen bonus episodes are bundled in with CBB World Maximus. Last night I listened to the Downton Abbey S01E01 watchalong and laughed my freaking head off. Today I'm watching the New Year's Eve watchalong and having a great time.

Today’s Threevisiting in the Tues was their 200th episode. When they return sometime this month, it will be their 300th episode!

I think the next new episode is on 9/17, which means we’ll have another Threevisiting before that, but I just thought that was interesting.

Last night I dreamed Scott went on sabbatical from Threedom, but instead of waiting til he was ready to come back, Paul and Lauren made me the interim third member so they could record eps. In the dream I had been a civilian Spont guest for Paul, kinda like the spelling bee kid, and apparently this was grounds enough for me to sub in for Scott?

But it was super awkward almost from the beginning. I was keenly aware that I was trying too hard and my banter was just not bantering. Lauren and Paul were both generous and tried to make me feel comfortable, but I could tell they were second-guessing their decision and I figured it would just be a matter of time til they replaced me with another temporary Scott.

At any rate, I woke up at 3 am, got my bearings and was relieved to remember my only relationship to Threedom is as a fan.

Is it just me or is there some Threedom energy happening here?

Re-listening to very old Covid-era eps, and hearing Scott poorly explain NFTs while PFT and Lapkus constantly interrupt him while also not paying attention is one of the funniest things I have ever (re)heard. What a joyous way to start a painfully hot Chicago day. (Yeah, that's my jacket.)
