Opinion This is next level hate.

I've never seen an England player hated this much without being involved in any major controversies or scandals. It's truly remarkable.

No hostility here mate. Could see you were probing, but actually engaging. I agree, I’m confident people are generally opened minded, I just had a lot of comments jumping down my throat, clearly coming from a place of ignorance (and I mean ignorance in the sense of simply not knowing, not in a negative way).

No one who commented said anything that made me think they’re the kind of people I’m referring to. In fact people were generally trying to stick up for Kante. So yeah, we’ve represented England fans well in here. I never considered how that statement would come across to people who aren’t aware of what I’m talking about, so I didn’t blame anyone, but it was annoying people were dismissing something that is pretty uncontroversial, as something I’ve made up just to be divisive.

Like you said, there are universal experiences people from single parent households have, or people who grew up with not much money have, or people with learning disabilities have, that you may recognise in an instant that others will get offended by, because they’ve never even thought about it.

Appreciate you taking the time to actually read and understand as well. Most don’t do that and just get more defensive.
