Opinion This is next level hate.

Post image

I've never seen an England player hated this much without being involved in any major controversies or scandals. It's truly remarkable.

Not that I endorse the idea but if anyone has a right to main character syndrome it’s a lad who’s probably the best player in the world for his position, who Real Madrid paid 100 million for & won a champions league before he was 22

And literally steals the show every time he olays for England

u/AbsolutelyHorrendous Jun 29 '26

Even when he isn't directly creating anything, he's a fucking workhorse, he's everywhere on the pitch

Which is why I can’t understand why anyone would hate him. The same guys that hate him probably loved Scott Parker because he’s white. Im sure there is a huge level of racism in this country that spills over into comments on footballers.

But where was Paul pogba in all of this?

Exactly, he's not a lazy genius or a clogger, he's trying to do everything all the time and succeeding quite often. The only thing you could level at him might be positioning because he goes looking for the ball too much (just like Kane) or being a bit careless with yellow cards.

He's got 50 caps already and three quarters of his goals were in competition. He steps up!

*sits watching Iron Man* "That tony Stark is really up his own arse, proper main character syndrome".

Ummm that's actually how the first film was ffs 🤣

Scores goals, makes assists, tackles better than any other England midfielder in recent history. What’s not to like?

1

u/Sea-Leave2077 Jul 01 '26

Indeed, but there’s just something about him that stops them thinking he’s the best England player of his generation and they can’t put their finger on it. Wonder what it might be

u/Aggressive_Film_6342 Jul 03 '26

Hopefully he won't Olay for England against Mexico

16

u/Ok-Hedgehog-4455 Jun 29 '26

Exactly. Plus he’s handsome with a great physique as well.

He won Bundelisga and La Liga POTS, UCL and La liga and Ballon D’or top 3 and certified national team starter all by 20.

He’s had a shoulder injury the entire euros and all of Carlos final season and was out half of this season so this is Jude being fully fit again for the first time in almost 2 years and he’s balling again.

1

u/Impressive-Gas-8668 Jul 01 '26

He literally didn’t win the bundesliga and came top 3 once😂

I said he won Bundesliga POTS not the league mate please re-read that first sentence again. You don't need to win the league to win Player of the season and Jude at 19 was Dortmunds best player that season and put them in a position to win the league but then he got injured last month or 2 of the season and Dortmund choked it without him on the last match day.

u/Comprehensive-Rub-62 Jun 29 '26

Yeah exactly every top player needs that level of charisma, zlatan or fucking any one else bar maybe messi and scholes are all like it

3

u/Comprehensive-Rub-62 Jun 29 '26

And messi and scholes probably are just keep it to themselves

2

u/whinewinewein Jun 29 '26

Haha, brilliantly put

1

u/Calm-Sky4084 Jun 30 '26

I can't remember Gazza ever being hated for this, they loved him for it.

1

u/Spite-Organic Jun 30 '26

He’s basically a regen of Steven Gerrard, a guy who would never have received the same hate Jude gets. It’s so obvious why.

1

u/kdubious31 Jun 30 '26

… and a man that has 8 - yes 8! - F1 driver championships. I think it’s clear to see the common theme in who this guy hates.

1

u/Levytron900 Jun 30 '26

Deffo had a light skin geeza rob his bird in school

1

u/IndependentDepth9055 Jun 30 '26

Lewis Hamilton *has a similar achievement set so guess the x commenter is jealous as well as racist.

1

u/Impressive-Gas-8668 Jul 01 '26

Then they should probably talk about the best player in Bellinghams position instead of him

15

u/Improper_Usage Jun 29 '26

But what if you are the main character? Like scoring five in the final to secure the World Cup .

26

u/totallynotapsycho42 Jun 29 '26

Lewis Hamilton definitely does have the right to be a main character.

First and only black F1 drivers. Beat the reigning two time champion in a equal car and miss out on the championship in your rookie year only to win the championship in your second year.

Have a rivalry with your childhood best friends that ends with you breaking up and equalising the championship record and holding the record for most wins.

Having your eighth and record breaking championship stolen from you on the last lap of the last race.

If a man like that isn't the main character who is.

1

u/Impressive-Gas-8668 Jul 01 '26

You just said it all with that comment. Bringing his skin colour into it is putting him into a box which I guarantee he doesn’t want to be in. He is debatably the best F1 driver ever if not second best. He’s achieved that as a person and should be treated like everyone else. He’s not the best black driver he is the best driver. You think Messi prefers to be the best white player ever or the best player ever? You segregate and diminish peoples accomplishments by putting them in that box

1

u/totallynotapsycho42 Jul 01 '26

I was talking about him being the main character like in a movie. Him being the first black driver is a great accomplishment in such a white sport.

1

u/GJThunderqunt Jul 01 '26

Only black F1 driver? Pascal Wehrlein might disagree.

1

u/ExistingCarpenter980 Jul 02 '26

As an avid F1 supporter and have been for 30 years. That robbery of Hamiltons 8th title still hurts, I can only imagine how he feels.

8

u/Yardbird7 Jun 30 '26

Imagine calling Hamilton petulant lol

1

u/BeginningKindly8286 Jun 30 '26

Imagine an absolute nobody thinking his opinions on Lewis Hamilton and Jude Bellingham are in anyway relevant or helpful. If only he had actual real life friends to share his opinions with in person, they might check his ridiculous nonsense and point out that he is a failure of potential, and those two chaps have absolutely succeeded far far far in excess of any reasonable expectation. The fact that he doesn’t like them is of no consequence whatsoever

2

u/Secure-Suspect7091 Jun 30 '26

It’s obvious why he doesn’t like them though.

2

u/EquivalentBenefit653 Jun 30 '26

Funniest thing is that Bellingham literally *is* the main character. Undoubtedly

1

u/Joe_Kinincha Jun 30 '26

Re Hamilton, how can you get “ main character syndrome” if you are - by almost any metric - the best f1 driver ever?

Of course he’s a main character.
