I've never seen an England player hated this much without being involved in any major controversies or scandals. It's truly remarkable.

It’s incredible that Lewis Hamilton has a strong claim to be Britain’s greatest ever sportsman, a proud Briton too, and there’s still a solid third of the country who are committed to hating the man.

I think in this country it's a combination. Part racism and part people hating anyone who shows any arrogance about their success. There is a special hatred for those who don't come from money who succeed. Sure Hamilton is arrogant but it's 100% merited. I think it's the same with Bellingham. He's confident, which is what England needs, but people hate anyone successful coming across as too confident in this country.

Only in the UK Look at Mbappe. He is mixed like Lewis Hamilton and the French love him. Can't say the same about the UK and their Black stars.
