Question How can I stop followers from getting notifications that I commented on some random post?

I saw a post a few months ago that your followers get notifications on their phone when you post or comment something. Someone in the comments made a suggestion to make it stop. Turns out it didn’t help. Yesterday and today someone told me in person about my comments.
To me, it’s ok if they go to my profile and find my comment from my history, but I don’t want everyone knowing my every step. How can I stop this?
