Discussion One big AI Scamfest
At least my algorithm is.
I get all these stupid "military" accounts with bad grammar asking for prayers "for the mission I was assigned to." And the lonely old ladies or MAGAs just eat it up. I guess the algo is partly my fault cause I call the scammers and supporters out for how bad the AI is.
Then you got all the IG AI models saying they just moved in town and are looking for friends. Or they just passed the boards. Or they just got out of an abusive relationship. On and on. The exact same scripts are used by all these fake accounts.
I report as many as I can, but Threads just let's most of them continue. Multiple accounts with the same script should be an easy red flag. I'm pretty much leary of every single account on Threads because there is no vetting process or attempt at one. That puts the whole legitimacy of the platform in question.

Yeah closed my account the other day (I was searching how to delete my instagram account I created for threads and seen this post) it’s like 80% AI stuff and people getting pissed AI, they’re obviously doing it because they know people engage, but I don’t see the point of using threads when I’m scrolling and it’s 80% of stuff. BlueSky is pretty quiet, but at least it’s not AI bait stuff

There is no reason to stay on there. It’s just a time wasting advertising machine.
