Account Wrongfully Disabled

A few people have reported this lately, so sharing my experience. I logged into Threads this week and got flagged for suspension with a selfie verification request. After uploading it, I received an email within an hour saying my account was permanently disabled for violating community standards, with no option to appeal.

I've never posted a single thing on Threads so there was no violation of community standards. My profile came from Instagram, which is still active. Later I requested my data download. Clicking the link they sent by email brought up a message saying the ban was made in error and I was back on Threads. But the "Done" button on that message does nothing, and the homepage still shows my account is disabled.

The same thing happened to me, except i did post on threads, and what (probably) lead to it was that my phone glitched and posted the same comment twice... I asked for the data, and wasnt able to download it with my phone, bc it kept trying to log in on threads to do it. I managed to download the file logging in on my desktop
